When The Pink Adobe is not open for lunch, their Dragon Room is likely to be. That's how we ended up across the alley on a busy Thanksgiving week in Santa Fe. The place was jammed at 1:30, but they cheerfully squeezed us into our own deuce table. The decor is not as over-the-top as guidebooks suggest, but it is theatrical. The chatty "regular" ladies at the next table sent over their uneaten taco-chip appetizer when we asked them for ordering suggestions. (The waiter himself moved it over.) We had a fine Southwestern lunch at a fair price, with good Margaritas. The food was freshly prepared and tasty. Note that this is not a "night life" review, it's about daytime dining.
