“Worth your while to visit.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 18, 2013

I had previously read about Farmers Market and was motivated enough to check the event. We went early to avoid having all the best offerings to be already picked and to help us find decent parking. The fruits, flowers, vegetables and food goods were as fresh as you could find. The vendors were all friendly and seemed very eager to lend assistance in answering any question we had. Several allowed me to photograph their wares and seemed glad that I took interest in their presentation of food crops and/or other items they had for sale. Fresh coffee, teas and other drinks were available inside a large building as were baked goods, soups and of course breakfast burritos. We looked over all vendors and purchased a great local cookbook and some great looking powdered red chili to take home. We liked the market and recommend you give it a try.

“Shop for local food & produce, artwork & gifts”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 13, 2013

Every Saturday in summer, with a smaller market on Tuesdays, the Farmers Market is a wonderful place to shop for supplies, sample local fruit, baked goods and preserves. Most of the stalls sell locally grown or made products. Stalls are both inside the market buidling and outside. An artesans' market nearby has wonderful jewellery, nature photographs, woollen yarn and a variety of other artwork and crafts for sale. An ideal place to buy some unique New Mexico gifts if you are an international visitor. A 15-20 minute walk from downtown or a quick ride on the Number 2 bus. There are other permanent stores in the Santa Fe Railyards area, so you could easily spend a morning here - including breakfast and/or lunch.

“Fresh place to visit”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 7, 2013

The Farmers Market is a great place to pick up some really fresh produce, from lettuce to apples. The vendors also have a large variety of locally made products from cheeses to soaps to ristras. Everything is fresh (get there early for Mr. G's produce), locally produced and much of it is natural and organic. They Market has a couple fo gift stores that sell a variety of interesting items and food is also available. The market is at the Railyard, so there are also shops nearby and the shopping district has some interesting stores.
There is also an artists market in the vacinity with everything from furniture to jewelry and it is a lovely place to browse.
Best thing is that you don't have to worry about parking, as you can take the Santa Fe Pickup from downtown and it will drop you right at the market and return you to the Plaza when you are ready.
Be sure to check out this hidden jewel while you are in Santa Fe.

“Busy place”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 5, 2013

We got turned around in Santa Fe and came across the Farmers Market. Very busy place with everything from veggies to art to jewelry to music. Plenty of food to eat right there also. Fun stop. Parking a little challenging. Nothing free. It's Santa Fe. Worth looking into and checking everything out. Very relaxing.

“Fun Outing For Freshest New Mexico Produce!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 19, 2013

We enjoy rubbing shoulders with locals and tourists while shopping for 'farm to booth' veggies, breads, cheeses, home-made jams, and meats. Relax, have a coffee & pastry (or local breakfast burrito), and just enjoy the people-watching. Good fun! Open Saturday and Tuesday mornings; near rail yard area.
