This is a "don't miss" when in Santa Fe. The market runs on Saturday's and Tuesdays -- though the Tuesday market is usually smaller. Lots of great local produce (in summer and fall), locally raised organic meats, and crafts. Breakfast here is wonderful: walk around munching on a nice hot egg and sausage burrito, sipping a great cup of coffee (with free refills). There's always music somewhere and fun people watching to boot. Love it!

We almost missed this, but happened to find it on our way to ABQ. What fun. Meet the artists lots of variety. A great place to buy Santa Fe crafts that won't break your budget and you know where the items are from since most of the artists are at their booth.

We bought earings and scarfs, here after almost leaving Santa Fe empty handed.

This is a really great market. So many lovely things to buy and a wonderful selection of fresh produce. And great to see the producers able to sell their goods direct to the customers. Everyone was very friendly and there were lots of things to sample. I only wish I could have been able to buy more that would make it back to the UK.

This is our favorite "attraction" in Santa Fe on Saturdays. Santa Fe loves their fresh food from the farms and these farmers offer a wide variety of beautiful food, herbs, flowers and creative energy! The purveyors of homecrafted salves, soaps, cheese, artisan breads/pastries, local crafts made from herbs and produce and other goodies are not to be missed. We love sitting to have our (great) morning coffee with a yummy pastry, tamale, or other freshly crafted offerings, listening to music and conversing with visitors and locals who are all delighted and delightful! GREAT energy at the Saturday Farmer's Market at the Railyard - do not miss it.

The Santa Fe Farmers' Market is in full swing in the late summer/early fall, and the chilly September weekend we chose to check it out was no exception.

There are many local NM vendors set up outdoors under tents, selling their hand-crafted arts, clothing and soaps, along with some of the best produce you'll find in the state this time of year. There were also several vendors roasting fresh-harvested green chile while you wait. An indoor area featured even more vendors selling fresh produce, along with fresh baked goods, hot coffee, more clothing, plants, flowers, and other organic/natural products.

Go early for the best selection, but expect heavy crowds. Bring your own shopping bags as most vendors only offer thin plastic bags for produce or other items purchased.
