“Best Patio in Santa Fe”
Reviewed June 9, 2013

Dinner at Casa Sena last night was very good and the patio setting is the best. The blue corn crusted calamari, cerviche, ceasar salad and mango rice pudding were terrific. The rack of lamb was good -quality of meat and cooking but the sauce was unappealing and the price was too high -$45.00...although two of us split the 4 chops.
We were there early and the service was very good. We live in ABQ so have visited this restaurant summer and winter for decades. We like it year round,

“Relaxing patio”
Reviewed June 8, 2013

My wife and I had lunch here yesterday. We were a little concerned about several recent poor reviews on TA, but our hotel recommended it. We sat on the patio in beautiful weather, a nice start. Good cocktails, also nice. Recent reviewers complained of poor service, ours was great. My wife had sprained her ankle and the waitress brought her a bag of ice. Good recommendations from our server with good food, well prepared and served as ordered. I don't think the service is slow, just relaxed as to not rush you through your meal. Overalll a vey pleasant experience I would repeat and recommend.

“Overrated”
Reviewed June 4, 2013

Based on strength of the TripAdvisor rating, my wife, son and I ate at La Case Sena last weekend, Quite disappointing. The service was agonizingly slow. After being seating and waiting for 15 minutes for a server, I actually had to go over to a group of them who were standing near a busing station having a chat and pleasantly ask if someone could tend to us. When our server brought our drinks, our son's Arnie Palmer was 99% pure lemon juice with a splash of iced tea. Absolutely disgusting. My (pricey) grilled halibut was cooked on one side and cold (not cool) on the other. To his credit, when I pointed this out our server quickly replaced the dish with one properly prepared. My wife's salad entree was nothing special. Our son's enchilada dish was very good. In all, it appears this best thing this restaurant has going for it is the outdoor seating area, which was lovely. That said, they clearly place families with children in the same area. We (with our 15 yr old, fairly mature son) were surrounded by several families with screaming babies and small children who were loudly running around our corner of the patio while we were trying to enjoy our meals. As we looked around, there were no children seated anywhere other than in our section. Not what we expected and definitely not pleasant. All in all, the slow service, mishaps from the kitchen and unsettling atmosphere mean we will not be back - there are too many other really good options in Santa Fe.

“creative menu, good service”
Reviewed June 1, 2013

We ate lunch at Sena on a weekday. The food was excellent, the presentation lovely. This restaurant presented several good vegetarian options that were not advertised on the internet. The service was prompt and efficient. The wait staff and managers were attentive, checking with us during the meal to make sure our experience was a positive one. In addition, these folks have a beautiful system for producing positive guest experience that should be studied by other organization. The bartender alone would occupy 3 chapters.

“Nice Place”
Reviewed May 31, 2013

We had dinner here on a Sunday night. It was excellent. Good service, good food and the magaritas were too good. Outdoor seating under a huge tree. Kind of back in the Plaza so make sure you don't walk past it.
