The general manager needs to give one of his bartenders a lesson in customer service and attitude. Everyone has a bad day but he just didn't care. I wish we could have tipped the general manager.

“"Blue about Blue Corn Cafe"”
Reviewed February 23, 2014

Indifference, lousy gaucamole and poor service set the stage for our mid-afternoon snack. I was truly hoping for more, but the overrated touristy restaurant dissapointed!

“Overpriced food. ”
Reviewed February 23, 2014 via mobile

The Coke and Dr. Pepper they brought us was flat. Mixed drinks were considerably higher than other places. The food was pretty good, but not as good as the prices said it was. An example of something extremely overpriced is a salad that had lettuce, Parmesan, croutons, and dressing was $8. To add chicken to the salad was $4 more. So a $12 grilled chicken salad. Many things on the menu were priced like they had meat and didn't, unless you wanted to pay (usually) $4 extra. The fries were really crispy and good. The BBQ baby back ribs were delicious. Service was really good. This place wasn't impressive enough to warrant another visit, when there's so many other restaurants around.

“Good Dinner”

The food was very good, and so was the service. After eating at a few New Mexican places, I don't know that this one was my favorite, but I don't have any complaints.

“Food quality does not match 4 star reviews.”
Reviewed February 17, 2014 via mobile

We came to the Blue Corn Cafe based on a recommendation from family and pretty decent reviews on Trip Advisor and Yelp. We were very disappointed. First impressions were that the decor was extremely dated and the service was average at best with long waits as we saw other customers eat and leave before our plates had even arrived. First we ordered the chips and dips appetizer - $10 for what tasted like canned guacamole, microwaved velveeta cheese that became nearly solid once cooled, and average salsa. Nothing tasted fresh at all. Then I thought I would order the 12.50 prickly pear margarita - they were out of the purée. So I reordered the raspberry 'Rita.... Although tasty - heavy on the frozen ice and light on the liquor. Finally for main meals, we ordered the huevos rancheros and the green chile Mac and cheese. If you like things smothered in chile sauce and then overcooked in the oven - then order the huevos. Green chile Mac and cheese at least looked edible, but cheese was borderline soupy. Needless to say, worst meal we had all weekend.
