The Bullring is a long-term fixture in Santa Fe frequented by politicians in session and natives. It provides an excellent break from Santa Fe chic. Superb steaks served sizzling with the classic sides. Excellent wine list. Service was good and unobtrusive.

Upscale restaurant - service was impeccable, as were the drinks - hence the 4 star review instead of 3. Hubby had the veal chop($42) and potatoes au gratin, I had the prime rib, which was not as tender nor as flavorful as I expected for $39.00. We eat mainly grass fed local organic beef, so I know what a good cut of meat should taste like. Everything is a la carte, but they do bring you carrots and celery with a blue cheese dressing that is quite good. I had the asparagus and hollandaise as a side. I would have preferred the asparagus grilled or roasted - the hollandaise was sub par - neither flavorful nor creamy, it was pasty and bland. The asparagus was steamed, and slightly overcooked with no snap or seasoning. Be prepared to pay about $150 for two, including drinks, main course, and a la carte veggies.

For a fancy steakhouse (along with the price), the food wasn't quite as good as others we've been to, but it certainly was satisfying. The atmosphere was very pleasant and service was exceptional, especially when I complained that my side of broccoli needed seasoning, she promptly brought out melted butter & seasoning to fix it up and thanked me for bringing it to their attention. It's a nice place if you're looking for an upscale meal & romantic atmosphere.

We were looking for a non-mexican restaurant, and this was recommended by the concierge at our hotel.
My husband ordered the prime rib and it wasn't very good. In addition , he ordered medium rare and we had to send it back to be cooked more , since it came out really rare.
The house wine was terrible .. sauvingnon blanc
But.., the strawberry rhubarb pie was outrageously good.
