Loved the atmosphere, the Ethel's chicken salad, the waiters were excellent! I dislike the fact that I will have to leave Santa Fe and not eat here again. The excecutive chief greeted us at our table. Wow!

We went here because it received good reviews. We were not as impressed as everyone else. Our food was good but not great - I have definitely had better fajitas before.

The atmosphere was the best part of the dinner. The dining room is lovely with flowers and lights.

The service was lacking. Our waiter was very absent and slow to respond to our needs. Therefore, our dinner unnecessarily long as we had to wait even to pay.

I think there are other places around that might be better food and service for your money. It wasn't bad, just wasn't great.

Choose a meal time and you'll be happy you went to La Plazuela. Expensive, but the food quality, taste, and appearance as well as the attentive and pampered service are well worth it. Surroundings are lovely too. I love to eat breakfast there: breakfast burrito and blue corn pancake. Even the oatmeal is delish! Dinner choices are wonderful--from mountain trout to authentic Northern New Mexican. Probably not the best restaurant for small children.

I really enjoyed my dinner here with friends. The. My meal was tasty, large, and a good price for what I got.

The location at the corner of the plaza is super convenient. The hotel is well designed and a comfortable place to wait for a table. The restaurant itself is spacious and comfortable, a little noisy but not in a bad way.

We made a reservation and had to wait about 20 minutes to sit, so we ordered tasty margaritas at the bar and grill adjacent to the restaurant and were able to bring them in when our tables was ready.

I would recommend this place for a hearty dinner with friends.

The restaurant is inside the La Fonda hotel, and it is beautifully arranged and decorated to feel like a light and airy patio. Each of us ordered from the New Mexican dinners, and both of us said the dinners were wonderful. We had the chile relleno and the tamale dinners. These come with posole, pico, black or pinto beans, guacamole and sour cream on the side and hot sopapillas with honey. We wanted the regional green and red chile seasoned food and were so pleased with our orders. If you don't want New Mexican, the menu also has steaks, seafood and appetizers. Expect to pay fairly high prices; we felt, though, it was worth the money.
