We enjoyed our lunch here. It was a spontaneous choice and everyone in our party found something they enjoyed. My sister loved the spinach so much with her trout that she wouldn't share. My mom chose the melon soup, as she wanted something light. She loved it! The dining room and hotel lobby were lovely.

We ate here on a crowded Saturday night. We had a reservation, and they seated us fairly promptly. The food was very good, but not particularly memorable. The atmosphere is a little different since it is in the lobby of the hotel, but the high ceiling, fountain, and painted windows are a nice touch.

We decided to try La Plazuela based on other reviews for Dinner. The resturant is in the lobby of the La Fonda hotel on the plaza. We found the staff friendly but they were not at all in a rush to get us seated. In fact we ended up waiting over an hour for food. This was during the "dinner rush". The actual food was ok. While the filet was cooked well, it lacked the spice that i had hoped for. And the fix?? pour as much red or green sauce as possible. The dry pozole left us shaking our heads. While the food was not bad, for the price of the meal I wanted something special. And was left disappointed!

My wife and I ate breakfast at this charming restaurant in Santa Fe. We ordered the eggs benedict and a cheese omelet. Coffee was steaming hot and always full thanks to the attentive waitstaff. However - - why can't I get a fresh squeezed orange juice in the United States? Other than the orange juice, we have no complaints.

Last year we ate a wonderful New Mexican food late lunch at la Plazuela and found it delicious and served by an enthusiastic and well trained staff. A return visit last night with friends proved sadly disappointing. We ventured off the New Mexican part of the menu into a fusion area for appetizers and one main course. Pulled pork appetizers were good, and the melon soup and tortilla soup both pleasing. My wife enjoyed her chickpea/butter-lettuce/pinon nut salad. My "line-caught" fresh salmon was overcooked to the point of resembling cardboard with charred corners. Its sauce resembled a bad jarred marinara sauce for pizza. The wine list was inaccurate about holdings. The servers were understaffed and slow despite the room not being very busy. Free parking was the best part of the experience.
