It's "Restaurant Week" in Santa Fe and many restaurants are offering prix fixe dinners in addition to their regular menus.
Based in the PF menu we selected D42 as our friends had dined here before and thought we would enjoy it. At $30, the set menu was a very good value.
The four us ordered a combination of the following:
Crab cakes or shrimp with mole dip
French onion soup or leafy salad
Lamb shank or veal piccata
The portions were generous (not reduced due to price) and everything selected was delicious.
The wine selection was good and reasonably priced. We make note of this because there are some restaurants who do not offer decent wine at reasonable prices and we typically do not return due to this practice.
Whether visiting or a local, Dinner for Two is well worth the sometimes challenging quest for parking if you don't any in the lot down West San Fracisco Street.
