We wondered about the choice when our server seemed preoccupied the first time she appeared at the table, but after that everything was great.
We were there on a Friday evening and there was live guitar music during the majority of the time that we were there. It made for a pleasant ambience. The dining areas are sectioned and that makes for a reasonably intimate setting with enough space between the tables to feel fairly private.
With a menu offering smaller plates it allows for sampling more dishes and not feeling stuffed. We tried the Chile and Corn Chowder, Squash Salad, Melted Leek Tart, Braised Lamb Ribs, and the Crab Cakes. To finish we opted for the Warm Chocolate Torte. All of the dishes were nicely presented and properly seasoned. Fresh ingredients that all retained a distinct flavour and texture that shows the chef is interested in producing memorable food.
After all that and a glass of wine the price was very reasonable given what we had eaten and experienced. This one gets a solid recommendation.
