No longer a stand-alone spot, Guadalupe now serves breakfast and lunch on the premises of the Pink Adobe. Still excellent southwestern fare.

We hadn't dined at the cafe since it moved to the new location. There were four of us and it was nice to outside and not feel so cramped. Loud conversations were often a problem at the old location if seated inside. Service was good and the food arrived hot. Both the red and green chile were tasty.

On the recommendation of a local, we had the Guadalupe Cafe for lunch one day and it was delicious. THe green chile was fantastic. The pozole was a little dry, but everything else was great. The courtyard was a very pretty setting to enjoy our meal. Service was a little slow, but our server was super nice.

Great place to start our Indian Market tour. Sausage and cheese Blue Corn Enchilada's with Green Chile was delicious. Outdoor dining in a quaint little courtyard. Service was a little shaky right at 8 a.m., but once the servers found their rhythm it got better.

For years, we have been going to Guadalupe Cafe for breakfast and lunch whenever we are in Santa Fe. It was located right next to the "Round House". State Capitol building on the Santa Fe Trail. The other day while in town, we decided to have lunch at Guadalupe Cafe and when we got to the restaurant, we surprised to see that another restaurant had taken over the sight. However, just down the street where the Pink Adobe stands, we located Guadalupe Cafe still open for breakfast and lunch.
We had heard the owners of the famous Pink Adobe restaurant had been having some financial problems and as it turns out, the owners of Guadalupe Cafe have taken over the Pink Adobe with the old Guadalupe Cafe staff running breakfast and lunch at the old Pink Adobe compound and then most of the staff changes to the Pink Adobe staff for dinner. Has the food changed? Well, we only had one meal, lunch. I expect there are some subtle changes yet to be discovered so that means we have to go back soon.
This day, I had the mushroom burger with cheese and curly fries on the side. My wife had one of the quesadillas which was OK but my burger was great. One of the biggest reasons we wanted to go the this restaurant was to obtain some of their outstanding chili cheese soup. Since they only make the soup for lunch and many times later in the day they are sold out, we always buy extra to take home. Why? For breakfast I take English muffins, then on top of the muffins, some meat like ham or bacon, fresh spinach and a poached egg which is then smothered in Guadalupe Cafe's chili cheese soup. Yum, what makes this so good is Guadalupe Cafe's soup. Oh yes, you can find the recipe on line. We also have to go back and try the New Pink Adobe. The bill for lunch, soft drinks and extra soup was $34.00. We also sat out on the comfortable patio with real good service including refills of water without asking.
