“Breakfast fit for royalty”

We had breakfast here 4 mornings & the food was delicious. Interesting menu with loads of choices. I loved both the Skinny Minnie & the Huevos Rancheros. They also had a great looking lox & bagel platter. Their homemade jams were super yummy. Lovely to dine in the beautiful outdoor dining area before the day heats up. Lots of umbrellas for sun protection. This was the best part of La Posada de Santa Fe.

Great food...the patio is beautiful And we enjoy good service! There were not too many options in the menu but our picks were great! Try the jalapeño margarita.

“OK”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 24, 2014

I did not get anything out of this - seemed like a restaurant with less than desirable service and OK food. Part of La Posada hotel. I ate breakfast only here. For atmosphere and authentic Santa Fe - try the diner, The Famous Plaza Cafe - on The Plaza. Enjoy the ceiling light fixtures. Absorb the years of wear.

“Great Service and Food”

A very endearing staff serving well prepared and executed Southwestern dishes. The patio was a great al fresco dining option.

“Horrible, disappointing experience”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 19, 2014 via mobile

We were visiting on vacation and to celebrate our anniversary with family. We chose to dine at Fuego as a final evening meal before other family members left. We made a 6:30 reservation to minimize the chance of disturbing other diners, since we had 2 small children in the party. We arrived on time and appeared to be the 2nd table there. They took drink order for the kids and brought water for the adults, but, after sitting there for 15 minutes had to grab someone walking by to bring a wine list. The waiter finally showed up to take drink order and, after complaining about bad start, offered to provide free appetizers.

The menu is VERY disappointing. We went there because of rack of lamb on the online menu, but there is no lamb on the real menu. It's mostly enchiladas, burgers, etc. The nicest thing on the menu was a filet - a nice steak, but still just a steak. The adults ordered filets (all rare) after we had already been seated for over 30 minutes. 45 minutes later, we were still waiting for our food to arrive. I had to ask to speak to the manager to find out where our food was. She claimed that the kitchen was backed up due to the (now) full restaurant! When we pointed out that we were the 2nd party in that night, she was very apologetic and we had our food after only 1 1/2 hours! Then the steaks were all over-cooked!

The manager did comp the meal, which is the only reason that I didn't give this 1 star. But, as I pointed out to the manager, we didn't come there for a free, bad meal, we came there for good food an good service!

DON'T GO TO FUEGO FOR GOOD FOOD OR GOOD SERVICE!!
