The food is wonderful here and the atmosphere is sleek and beautiful. Omira is tucked away in a small strip mall at St. Francis and Cerrillos Rds. This is why not many people know it's there yet. You can eat as much succulent meat straight off the grill as you can and the salad bar is just filled with fresh goodies. You order more meat by pushing a light on at the table when you are ready so there is absolutely no rushing you. The drinks are fun too and are presented in odd shaped glasses. If you go for the "endless meat" menu it is pricey about $28. each but you can opt for the salad bar which has many main dish items for $19.

We have been to several churazzo buffet in different places but this one is a disappointment. We went to Santa fe for a weekend vacation. We were excited to find a Brazilian style restaurant. When we got there there only a few customers. There were hardly any food. We had to wait for the meat to come and we even have to ask for it then it was served in a plate instead of churazzo way. I love my steaks but I only got a little the portion was so small. It wasn't worth the money we paid. Well atleast we found out about so we can warn our friends. Just go to tucanos in Albuquerque you will get satisfied.

We went to Omira for a weekend lunch. We were surprised to see only very few diners, and we were consequently somewhat apprehensive. However, the different types of meats we tasted were very good. Prepared as requested, and seasoned appropriately. The salad bar contained some unusual salads the we enjoyed, as well as very good soup with beef stock. We will come back again for dinner one day, because I enjoy lamb, and it is only served at dinner.

We were up in Los Alamos for lunch at the Pyramid Restaurant and found out about Omira in Santa Fe and we decided to go there for our friends birthday.
Do not be underwhelmed by the decor, it is not all that thrilling, but who cares, when the food is good?
We pronounced it a "find" in Santa Fe and plan to go back. When we are in Las Vegas, NV, we go to another brazilian style restaurant and it is food overkill. Omira gives you a lot of dishes to feast on, at a slower pace, which is so much better for you than shoveling it in. Tasting the buffet station, we found a lot of locally sourced food, and it was delicious. I loved the kale dishes, potato-rice cakes, mozzarella balls, two different rice dishes, tomatoes and two tasty soups. Let's just say that the soup is 'Santa Fe" tasty with green chile flavors. In general, smaller but higher sophistication (and taste) than the Las Vegas Brazilian chain.
We enjoyed all the meat dishes and the egg rolls and breaded mushrooms done as an "Amuse Bouche". The beef dishes were my favorites, but others liked the pork and chicken along with the beef. Incidentally, the meat pieces were small, giving a taste of the glazed or crust. But the winner of the night? Baked pineapple with a brown sugar glaze. At the end they offered to bring back anything we would name. We all agreed that the pineapple was what we would want if we had any room for it.
I was full by the time dessert was called and we just couldn't but our friends tried the tiramisu and they say that it was great.
We just love the food here a give it a big thumbs up!
