“Great brunch spot”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 2, 2014

Sitting out front on the patio during the Spanish Market was a great start to the day. For brunch I had the best Reuben that I have ever eaten! They smoke their own meat and make their own cabbage slaw to put on it. The wait staff was friendly and helpful. I have had dreams about how delicious my sandwich was and cannot wait to go back!

“Three venue options”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 1, 2014

Our first experience of this restaurant was last year for dinner: we dined in the large dining room that reminded me of an old world cavern...too big with no possible spots for intimate conversation.
The food was acceptable but nothing to make it memorable.
This year we chose to dine outside and loved it! Also grabbing a bite in the lounge/bar area is a savvy choice. Love the salmon and crab salad as well as the chicken tortilla soup. Breakfasts are the best...

“Food ranges from great at breakfast to unacceptable at dinner”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 29, 2014

We have dined at the Anasazi Restaurant every year for seven years. Typically we have 3 to 7 breakfasts there each trip, about as many lunches and afternoon snacks. On each trip we have dinner only once. Our dinner experiences have been consistently unacceptable over an extended period of time. Because the breakfast is so good, we remain hopeful that dinner will have improved from the previous year. Sadly it still, after seven years, has not.

The best part of the Anasazi Restaurant, part of the Rosewood Inn of the Anasazi, is the outside dining at breakfast.

Dining outside is offered from breakfast through dinner. There are also tables inside, but when the weather is good, few people choose to sit inside.

The quality and extent of offerings of food varies from breakfast to lunch to afternoon snacks to dinner.

I've never had a breakfast at the Anasazi Restaurant that was not excellent. Breakfast service is also very good; prompt and courteous. I would give 5 stars plus for the breakfast.

Lunch is also good and there, and if you want a small meal or snack in the afternoon, they offer a special menu for that. I would give 3 stars for the lunch and afternoon snacks.

The dinner menu is pretentious and the food unacceptable. Service for dinner is condescending and indifferent. If there was a -2 rating.

It is my experience that the quality of the food and the service deteriorate as the day passes. The food goes from excellent at breakfast to terrible at dinner. The service goes from prompt, friendly, and very good at breakfast to slow, indifferent, and condescending at dinner.

As an example, the quality of the lamb chops is mediocre at best. It seems to me that the heavy sauces they put on the lamb chops is an attempt to cover the poor quality of the meat. Grilled appears and tasres like it is cooked on a grill that is not hot enough to properly prepare them…or else whomever is cooking them needs a lesson in grilling meat.

Desserts, like most of the dinner entrees, have excessive, pompous descriptions and do not resemble the description in the menu. Disappointing: they do not taste good.

The presentation is much more important than the taste and quality of the food at dinner at the Anasasi Restaurant. It certainly is not worth the price.

Because there are many restaurants in Santa Fe offering excellent food, it is unacceptable that any expensive restaurant (much less at a Rosewood property restaurant) would be this mediocre, at best. For seven years it has been the same.

“Classic French with a Stanta Fe influence”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 24, 2014

My first experience here several years ago, they had a Onion Soup that seemed very French except for the rasberry dried pepper infusion. What I had last week were medallions of beef with an esquiste sauce that included duck filled tortalini. My wife had a seafood risoto that she enjoyed very much. The interior decor is very nice and the service excellent. They have an excellent wine list. We always come here to eat when we are in Santa Fe. Its about a block from the centra plaza of the city.

“Best restaurant in Santa Fe”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 22, 2014

After going around town for a month I still keep coming back to this restaurant, whether it is for their luscious egg benedict in the morning or the mouth watering trout BLT with a local nut brown beer for lunch at the patio or to enjoy the goat cheese panzotti followed by a rack of lamb with a delicious pinot noir at night...

I can't say enough about this place, not only service is amazing (friendly yet polite) but also the selection for food has a very good balance; if you feel like an informal dinner you can do waygyu sliders or a mountain of nachos and if you are feeling fancy you go from roasted baby beet and goat cheese salad to a nice salmon with chili crust mmm simply delightful!

I must definitely mention drinks, their whisky selection is very interesting and their cocktails very creative. If you are going solo just sit at the bar and the bartenders will keep you entertained (they are hilarious!)

From time to time you can see the chef visiting the tables to get feedback, top notch!

Live music on Saturday night also made my night!
