One of the best meals we have ever had, and that includes NY! Service was impeccable, I agree with all the other reviewers. This is definitely THE place to enjoy dinner in Santa Fe. When my boyfriend had to go to the men's room, they personally escorted him and said "guest coming through" so the staff did not bump into him as they were comming out of the kitchen. Food was unbelievable, so sorry when we got to the last bite.
But then there were the lemon crepes for dessert....way over the top.

Chef Eric has successfully continued the tradition of fine dining at Geronimo - one that started so many years ago. Under his leadership for several years, the kitchen is consistent - and consistently excellent. Waitstaff are friendly, efficient and professional. Quinn's wine list covers all of the major regions and varietals and the 'by the glass' program always includes several worthy choices.

We have dinner here every year. The food continues to excite, but the service has not kept up with the excellent level we expected. Our dishes were delivered by servers who had no idea who was having what. Wine list is not extensive. Beautiful surroundings.

It is never too easy to convince when you have a first class reputation, as expectations rise accordingly – but Geronimo certainly delivers.

The place is very stylish (though not overdone) and so is the staff (although the female personel tend in part to be a bit stiff...). The food was way above average, starting with the ingredients, which are absolutely outstanding by any standard (I had the elk as main course). The sauce and the salad were good, but not completely up to the standard of the very best European restaurants, which would probably have achieved slightly more raffiné results. The weakest link was the dessert (a crêpe with lemon), which was fine, but forgettable.

The wine list is remarkable and – considering the quality and choice – not overpriced. What was exceedingly enjoyable is the way we were attended to – in a very friendly, open way, by the knowledgeable yet comparatively relaxed staff. This is in stark contrast to European restaurants in the same category, where fine dining is supposed to be an earnest affair and the maître d’hôtel is not seldom, all in all, closer to an undertaker than to an entertainer.

On the contrary, spending an evening at Geronimo is an unconstrained pleasure and a thing to remember, not just for the food and wine and interior design, which are all well worth it, but for «chic sans chichi», a seldom alliance.

Geronimo has been around since the early 90's and is set in a house of historic interest dating back to the 18th century. It is a 20 minute walk from the Plaza at the center of town and to get there you walk most of the length of the Artists road, Canyon.
we actually only glimpsed the inside because we enjoyed the perfect weather and sat on the terrace.
It is an interesting menu, influenced by the region but really just fine dining and we really enjoyed it. Decent wines by the glass and a good desert menu although we did not partake. The staff are attentive and friendly and the meal nicely paced. I gave this a rare 5 blobs because when you combine the location, service and food it was hard not to even though you expect these things from an upmarket restaurant. Splash out and go, you wont regret it.
