Locally owned and operated in Santa Fe, NM, we take great pride in our high quality food, friendly and fast service, and of course our famous margaritas! Locals have consistently voted us as the premier restaurant for Best Red Chile, Best Green Chile, Best Margaritas, and Best New Mexican Restaurant! Our chiles are out of this world and you won't regret ordering either - or both! Tomasita's is a distinctly Northern New Mexican restaurant. Our recipes have been handed down for generation and serve as a reminder of the melding of cultures that together once depended on the corn, chile, beans, and fruit of the area. My first time to this restaurant. They have stuffed grape leaves on the appetizer menu it comes in a lemon sauce. Very good but odd on a new Mexican menu but a must try.
The carne (pork) burrito was fantastic. The sauce was not too hot and very flavourful. At the table a ground beef burrito was ordered ( never again) flavorless.... the Margarita's were excellent.
I would recommend this restaurant to others.

If you want a quick, though not necessarily cheap, meal of average Mexican food, by all means, go to Tomasita's. It is great for families, especially for those with little children. Not so great for couples wanting a quiet place to dine and who have a deep foodie knowledge of New Mexican cuisine.

My wife and stopped here while visiting Santa Fe. When we were in Albuquerque, this restaurant was mention several times as the best place to eat in Santa Fe. They were right. Everything we had was outstanding, especially the tacos with the green sauce.

It's all about the chile. Tomasitas has the best red in ABQ or Santa Fe. The are one of the few that make theirs from whole chiles. It's silky and has that luxoriously bitter bite to it. Their green is better than average, though it's mainly just chopped chiles. I always get the same thing: a beef and bean burrito, and it's consistently terrific. One would think this would be an easy thing to make well, but it's surprising just how terrible this dish is at most New Mexcian restaurants. Others in my party ordered the huevos rancheros, tortilla soup, and enchiladas, and all were very pleased. It's not the most refined New Mexican cuisine, but it is the most authentic. Oh, and our server was simply lovely; very friendly and she didn't miss a beat. One piece of advise, though. Try to go at off hours, or you could be waiting for an eternity, depending on the size of your group.

This was the best meal I had on the trip. The red and green chili are both excellent, but the red chili....you can't get that just anywhere! The service was great. The margaritas were also very tasty. You will most likely have to wait, it is a very busy place, but well worth it.
