“Terrific tiramisu!”
Reviewed April 10, 2013 via mobile

We had a simple dinner here tonight. Wine, salad, entree and tiramisu dessert were all quite good. Service was prompt and helpful. Atmosphere was intimate and relaxed. Not a big crowd tonight. Chalk up a good experience at il piatto, farmhouse kitchen and enoteca this evening.

“rude service and charcoal eggplant”
Reviewed April 6, 2013

We had reservations arrived at 6:45 did not get a glass of water for 20 mins, it took 55 minutes to get our salads. I ordered the duck which came with eggplant, The eggplant was burnt to crispy charcoal - inedible. When the waiter was told no apology but did bring a bowl of eggplant that didn't complement the meal and the waiter did not remove the pieces of burnt eggplant around my plate, he was very snooty about the whole matter, saying lets move on from the burnt eggplant!! We shall never eat at this restaurant again.

“Authentic Italian in the middle of Santa Fe”
Reviewed April 5, 2013

We entered Il Piatto because all the other nearby restaurants were closed between lunch and dinner. I was wary of eating Italian, thinking it wouldn't be authentic, but my trout over polenta was excellent. We finished the meal with a delicious zabaglione. Molto buono!

“Charming restaurant with many menu choices”
Reviewed March 25, 2013

I had the red chile linguine with mussels a d it was outstanding. My husband had the chicken and it was good but dry. We also started with a house salad--$9 for field greens and a small tomato and we had the green chile gnocchi as an appetizer. Again, they are very stingy with the sauce and we had to ask for more. This was good, but not great. Bread pudding for dessert that my husband liked but I did not. Great reasonable wine list. Also, I had booked this reservation on Opentable and accidentally booked it for Friday instead of Saturday and the hostess was very accommodating and seated us anyway even though they were busy. I really enjoyed it and would return.

“Not your normal Italian restaurant”
Reviewed March 23, 2013

When we visit Santa Fe, il Piatto is where we eat on the first night. We look forward to eat well in advance. The pumpkin ravioli is wonderful! Be sure to try it. There are many other fine items on the menu that are creative and tasty. Be adventuresome.
