This is a good place to have a muffin and browse some good books. A woman was reading a story to small children when I was there, which was nice.

A place to get a cup of coffee and a good book. What more can you say about a bookstore. Really can't say more about a bookstore.

If you like bookstores and coffee, stop in here. Nice cappaccino. Also nice couches in front of wood burning fireplace. Beats the chains any day.

A good independent bookstore with a coffeehouse is a rarity these days. This one is just two short blocks from the busy Santa Fe Plaza, and it is an island of tranquility.

It's not big, but the owners and staff put a lot of thought into their selection and organization of titles. Browsing is pleasant and intuitive. They are helpful and knowledgeable when asked, but they haven't forced me into unwanted literary discussions. Finally, an independent bookseller that seems to understand and respect their bookish, introverted customers!

Coffee, pastries, sandwiches, and snacks are basic, but good, fresh, and locally made. You order at the counter. What is exceptional is the space. There are small cafe tables, lounge seating, and a tiny stage in the corner for readings and other events. It is far, far more inviting than Barnes & Noble or Starbucks. Outside, in summer, there is a small, secluded back patio with a few more tables and some carts with sale books.

Please, go and enjoy, and support this little gem!
