Located at 150 East Pasco de Peralta next to a FREE public parking area not too far from the downtown. If you love chocolate this little gem is one you do NOT want to miss. The staff is friendly and the service is great! They will spoil you with samples of all their warm chocolate concoctions. If that isn't enough they have their own ice cream. Since this is a chocolate place can you imagine what flavor I highly recommend? They will give samples of it also and will soften it if you like. I won't mention all the other treats they have there. You need some mystery don't you? Seriously, it would be a great place to park in the morning, do your visiting in the plaza area and stop in on your way out for some refreshment and some chocolate mix to take with you.

OMG - The elixirs of chocolate were amazing! And, the staff were very friendly, helpful and provided tasters of the many elixirs. The truffles were rich, but some of the Fruit flavors were a bit heavy-handed and so intense, they took away from the chocolate experience. That said, they were still pretty tasty in small amounts. The only downside is that there a few places to sit for a party of 4 or more. As it was crowded, we opted to sit outside with our elixirs, but it started to rain. Based on the crowd, we suggest making an back-up seating plan upon arriving. Not sure if the elixirs can be put into a ToGo cups vs. the cute demitasse cups?

We definitely recommend Kakawa Chocolate House. What a treat!

Chocolate lovers of the world should unite at the Kakawa Chocolate House in Santa Fe, New Mexico. The proprietor makes his own chocolate and serves the most wonderful chocolate elixirs in tiny cups. This warm drink can have the bite of chile (not really hot just a warm after burn) or the orange sweetness of a more European style, but don't confuse this with hot chocolate out of a machine! Their elixirs are something special.

This is an afternoon delight since they close at 6:00. They also hand craft their own chocolates, and you can buy the cups and the coffee to take with you. A perfect place to relax after a hard day of shopping and museum going!

Cute place to stop for a break and a delicious treat. Love the Milagros. Glad we stopped. The white chocolate, pistachio macaroons were fantastic!

Their warm chocolate elixirs are extraordinary, and their ice cream was one of the best I've ever had (and I'm rather obsessed with chocolate ice cream.)
