Indulge yourself in traditional chocolate drinks from MesoAmerica to 17th and 18th century European recipes. These rich aromatic blends will change the way you think about chocolate forever. Make it one of your first visits.

Fun place to sample various hot chocolate flavors. Our fave, the American (good ol' American). Expensive to buy packages of the mixes to bring home, but it's a neat experience to sample the chocolate "elixir."

One of the best chocolate experiences if you are into different kinds of chocolate. The only thing that I don't like is that I don't live in NM and now they have ruined chocolate for me since it's one of the best I will ever had. They give you samples, so you can try and pick the one you like the best. They also have delicious cookies. A must visit if you love chocolate and you are in Santa Fe.

I went to this little store after seeing it advertised in a Santa Fe visitor guide. We sampled a couple of the chocolate elixirs and then ordered 2 small cups. After reading other, not so good, reviews I wondered why their experience was so different than ours. I greatly enjoyed sipping my chocolate elixir. It was smooth and delicious, my boyfriend got one with a little spice in it- he enjoyed it very much too. While I will say the place is very small, it is still an experience worth trying. I also took a few of their handmade chocolate candies to go. They were fantastic little treats we enjoyed later, especially the chocolate chile & bacon one!!! It's not cheap, but great chocolate is not cheap so I wasn't expecting it to be an inexpensive adventure! I will go back again next time I go to Santa Fe.

The chocolate elixirs are amazing. I tried probably a half dozen, they readily offer samples of what is "on tap" for the day. Ignore the cost, it is worth it - it seems $6 for 6 oz. of hot chocolate is expensive, but this is filling enough to be a mid-afternoon snack. They also offer a 3 oz. drink for half the cost.

I think I liked the Modern Mexican best this last trip; others I recall were Chili, Tsul (probably didn't spell that right), American, Chai, Aztec, they have a long list of specialty drinks daily. They also sell truffles and other chocolates, and you can buy the mixes to go - my wife bought two Chai mixes, one for us and one for her sister.

We'll be back.
