“magnificent!!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 12, 2004

I love Santa Fe and travel to town often on business. The Inn of the Five Graces has been my secret little find! It is a magnifient hidden jewel in a town full of big hotels, within walking distance to everything.
It's no secret that Santa Fe is one of the greatest destinations in the world with its unique combination of southwestern landscapes, ancient cultures and an incredible art scene. Yet, it is still a small town. Staying at the Inn of the Five Graces on one of the oldest streets in America made me feel like I was in a small European village. The rooms are exotic and luxurious - a great retreat from the chilie ristras and kokopelli's that dominate most of the downtown area (and the other hotels). However, it is the attention to detail, especially in the service, that puts the Inn of the Five Graces over the top for me. Nothing was neglected, from the wine and conversation hour to the turndown in the evening. In most hotels, all the attention is put downstairs, while closing the door into a bland room is often a letdown. A place to flop. At the Inn of the Five Graces, I secretly wanted to finish my day in Santa Fe so I could go have that glass of wine, get into the mosiac-lined Jacuzzi tub and then crawl into the most luxurious bed I have ever slept in! A real winner for me.

Excellent Place. We spent four days and wished we could have stayed more. Don't miss the manager's tour. The service and accomodations are exceptional. The Inn is within walking distance of the plaza, churches, galleries and several museums. The breakfast is more than the ordinary continental. Wine in the evening, cookies by your bed at turn down ...what more could you ask for.

My wife and I have been coming to SF for almost 20 years. We just got back and had the best time yet. We stayed at the Inn of the Five Graces and were surprised how much more we liked it than anyplace we have stayed in SF. Nile and his staff were more accomodating (and just plain nicer) than anyplace we have stayed at any hotel in the country. The Inn is small but the service is not. We met folks from all over the country at the 5:30 daily wine and chesse gathering. Even though I am very familiar with Santa Fe the staff was able to suggest some places and things we had not tried before. We happen to love little out of the way spots (some would say "hole in the wall") and they gave us some memorable suggestions on where to try. We have stayed mostly at the La Posada over the years and have frankly found the service lacking to say the least. We will definately come back to the Inn again (and again) and I would reccommend it highly.

Staying at the Inn of the Five Graces is like visiting an extremely wealthy aunt who is Santa Fe royalty. Each suite is unique, richly and individually decorated, and beautifully appointed with the most elegant furniture, linens, and diversions. It has none of that cookie-cutter hotel feeling at all--it feels like a home--an immaculate, gorgeous, intimate, richly textured home.

Bathrooms are covered floor to ceiling in hand-painted ceramic tile. The Inn commissioned its own line of bath products, and they are scented with essential extracts of local herbs and scents of Santa Fe. You can take that elusive, dreamy scent home with you!

The beds are sumptuous, you sink into them, feeling every inch of the silkiest Egyptian cotton on your body. Beds and bedrooms are fit for royalty. Little windows and authentic details made me feel like I had stumbled into a fairy tale and was indeed the princess.

The staff is incredibly knowledgeable, charming, friendly, thoughtful, polite, and correct.

If you're looking to step into a completely delicious world of lush textures, colors, and impeccable service, the Inn of the Five Graces is that place. There really is no better place to stay in Santa Fe, if not the entire Southwest. The location is perfect--steps away from all of Santa Fe's jewel-like downtown attractions.
