“Spectacular collection of southwestern furniture”
Reviewed July 8, 2013

A lovely little gem of a museum, often overlooked by those heading to the International Folk Art or Wheelwright museums. Displays outstanding and important examples of early southwestern furniture and interesting small exhibits change every few months.

“"An Historic Home, Housing Authentic Art!"”
Reviewed May 31, 2013

Atop Museum Hill (a must-visit area overlooking the Santa Fe basin), this is one of the unique attractions of multi-cultural and historic S.F. Low, $5. admission includes informative docent guidance. A pleasant stop to appreciate Spain's early history here, and that cultural heritage's influence today

“It's small but neat”
Reviewed May 28, 2013

This museum changes it's main exhibit several times a year so it's never a 'been there, done that' experience. I've been there probably three times a year over the past several years and while some things never change, it's just enough Museum to keep one interested , but not so much that one tires or gets bored. For the husband that may lose interest before his wife, there are places to sit both inside and out.

“A Rare Treat”
Reviewed May 13, 2013

Good timing - I walked in when the free docent tour was starting, which was excellent. This small museum is a gem with a great gift shop. The special exhibition (temporary) was of filagree and embroidery - gorgeous jewelry, combs, mantillas, and fabulous embroidered shawls imported from China back when. Definitely worth a stop.

“Worth the visit!”
Reviewed April 8, 2013

Visit all the art museums and compare the Spanish Colonia to Native American, etc. Fantastic experiences! Great place to visit! So much for everyone to see! Staff is always helpful! I have been here several times over the years.
