My wife and I stayed at the Old Santa Fe Inn primarily based on the reviews from tripadvisor. Though the room was much smaller in person than in their photos the overall accommodations did not disappoint. The Inn is within a few blocks of the downtown square, well within walking distance. The check-in was very friendly and quick. They are a pet friendly establishment and they have a wonderful library in which they also serve complementary Starbucks coffee and hot chocolate. The room was very small. That said, it was filled with quality items and furnishings. Our room was # 21 located in the far back corner of the "U"-shaped hotel away from the street. It also had a gas fireplace, which I would highly recommend during the cooler months. The bathroom was also rich in appearance and had a jetted tub. The morning complementary breakfast was a topper. A full burrito bar, with scrambled eggs, bacon and a variety of salsas. Or you could go for the different breads, oatmeals, or fruit that was also available. The small size rooms and the fact that they open directly onto the parking lot is why I would rate them a four rather than five stars. I used a discount site to reserve this room but it was still close to $150. All in all, and compared to other 3-stars hotels in the area, the value was still there for one night. We came as tired travelers and left full and happy, happy, happy. I would definitely recommend if visiting Santa Fe.
