For travelers like me who demand comfortable and clean rooms, welcoming staff and unexpected small amenities, the Old Santa Fe Inn is the place to stay when visiting Santa Fe. True, there are other hotels and lodges that might be closer to the plaza or more stylish looking on the outside, but few, if any, can match the service and comfort that comes at a great price. The rooms - we stayed in a junior suite with fireplace - were exceptionally well-prepared and stocked with all the amenities needed. It was clean, comfortable - I slept like a log. Morning breakfast, expected but exceedingly delicious, offered everything one might expect and more than needed. Eat up, then feel free to have coffee or tea and cookies throughout the remainder of the day. It's a great hotel with very accommodating staff worthy of thanks and return trips. Few places are better, this was the best in the west!

Room Tip: Request the junior suite. The price is unbeatable and the size spacious.

We've stayed in many hotels in Santa Fe, but this was our first visit to The Old Santa Fe Inn. The location is great -- walkable to the Plaza and Guadalupe Street and with free parking, so we were pleased. We had a Junior Suite and it was comfortable and well appointed. The gas kiva fireplace was beautiful and great for the zero temp outside.
The best things about the OSFI are the hospitality of the staff and the awesome breakfast buffet! I can't say enough about either. You will not be disappointed.
Our only complaint was the noise we could hear from the adjoining rooms. We could hear beds squeak, televisions, and conversation from the room next to our headboard. Perhaps this is only a problem with the Junior Suites as they seem to be laid out in an interlocking quad design. I can't speak for the traditional rooms.
We asked to be moved to another room after our first of three nights, and the management kindly accommodated us, but the second room had the same problem, albeit a little quieter neighbors. What is interesting was there was absolutely no sound transmission from outside the walls because they were masonry, but the sound from room to room was unacceptable. So we slept poorly all three nights.
Maybe we're sound sensitive. That was our only - although a big one for us - complaint. Everything about the Inn was first rate and it is the only reason I couldn't give it a 5 star rating.

Room Tip: Rooms are very nice, just bring a white noise device.

Convenient to walk to all the attractions in downtown Santa Fe. On-site parking. Delicious buffet breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff. Even in chilly Mid-December the room was cosy and comfortable. Would definitely return.

I travel to Santa Fe for work often and stayed at the Old Santa Fe Inn for the first time last week. Everyone is very friendly and the breakfast was great. I loved this place and will make it my new favorite place to stay in Santa Fe.

Room Tip: The first floor corner was quiet.

We stayed in one of the suites and it was perfect for our needs. Small bar/sink, fridge, microwave. Kiva fireplace was fun too. Nice bed. Clean room. Excellent breakfast included. Great location with free parking, walk to everything. Very good value. The only small complaint was that the shower tile was not in very good shape. We'll stay here again for sure if we find ourselves in SF again.
