My wife and I love using tripadvisor to help in finding those little gems as well as luxury. This past October 2012 we stayed at this property and fell in love. We were traveling with the family "Aussie" which they have dedicated rooms for. From check in to check out we were blown away at the cost, service and amenities of this wonderful motel and it's staff! We will be referring this to all of our friends as they pass thru the Santa Fe area, but we would prefer to keep it to ourselves!

Room Tip: We were traveling with our pet and we felt our rooms were as well located on the property as anyone...

My wife and I stayed here during a recent visit to Santa Fe. The hotel is conveinently located for the "old town" area of Santa Fe, within easy walking distance of attractions, shopping, and dining.

Our room (a junior queen suite) was confortable, but had a few small issues. We don't watch very much television, but it was located in the bedroom area. While many people enjoy TV in bed, we don't and prefer to have it available in the seating area. There wasn't one, which, if this is supposed to be a first tier hotel, there should have been.

Additionally, while we wanted to conserve and didn't want our towels changed daily, they weren't changed at all during our stay (four nights). Again, for a first tier hotel, this should not be the case.

The complimentary breakfast, coffee, etc. are all excellent and add to the value of one's stay at this hotel.

Conclusion: Difinitely would recommend, just minor details need to be attended to.

My sisters and I stayed here as a girls getaway. We wanted to share a room and not be split up but they didn't have any rooms that would accommodate. They kindly brought in a roll-away so we could be together and the room was large enough and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful and we were walking distance to everything (we like to walk though so some attractions may be far for others). We all would chose to stay there again over any other place in Santa Fe! Lastly, the bed was without a doubt the most comfortable hotel bed I have ever slept in!

We travel to Santa Fe at least once a year and have tried several places to stay but when we finally chose to try this hotel, we have never stayed anywhere else. Very comfy and the included breakfast was very good...great selections. The location is ideal for the getting around on foot. Definitely recommend!

In this age of chains and big boxes, how unusual it was to come across an old style motor court hotel. The folks here are gracious, the breakfast was yummy (I haven't quite warmed to either red or green chilies though), and the location is fabulous for walking around downtown Santa Fe. There's lots here to overwhelm you-sky high retail prices, Canyon Road (there doesn't have to be another gallery anywhere-there are enough here), but the hotel was adorable. It being late December, it was a bit cold to have to go outside to get to reception and to breakfast, and while the side walks were cleared, the driveway wasn't, so going was a bit tricky. Otherwise, this was lovely.

Our most recent stay in the end of December was our second stay, and won't be our last here! Each time we have stayed the service has been terrific, and been consistent. Breakfast is always fresh, with a nice variety. The hotel is located just off the main square area so it's super easy to get to dining and shopping, all within walking distance! Perhaps our favorite part about the hotel are the rooms-though some are a little smaller than others, the beds are beyond cozy and we love the fireplaces in the room ... Romantic and just perfect for our time there during the snow!

This charming hotel was recommended to us by friends. The place did not disappoint.

Our assigned room (#33) was a bit cramped, but the price was right. The only reason I did not rate this five stars is that our room needed a bit of freshening (paint was peeling in a few areas, cracks in the wall around the tub, a few broken baseboard tiles, and chairs in need of new upholstery). The desk area near the window was a bit chilly as the window had a slight gap in the frame. The temp for the rest of the space was generally comfortable with a well-working heater.

Although room 33 did not have a fireplace it did have an efficiency kitchen with coffee maker, fridge, sink, and microwave.

The hotel is an old motor court which adds to the funky charm. Built in a 'U' shape, most rooms open onto the parking lot (free parking).

The service at Old Santa Fe Inn is warm and friendly. We were greeted immediately, promptly checked in, and provided a map of the city.

A very good breakfast bar opens early and stays open til mid-morning. Coffee, hot tea, hot apple cider, and fresh apples are available all day. Cookies are served at 4:00.

Like I mentioned, there is free parking which is a real plus considering that the plaza is about a five minute walk from the hotel. Finding parking in the Old Town area can be a challenge. We left our car at the hotel and walked to the plaza, to Tomasitas, Loretto Chapel, and other places.

Two computers are near the lobby (i.e., business center). Free wifi in the rooms was a big plus.

In summation...if you are expecting a ritzy place to stay, keep looking. If you are looking for a clean, convenient, friendly, and charming place to stay, give the Inn a shot. This will be our "go to" place when we visit Santa Fe in the future.

Room Tip: We reserved through the hotel's website and got a better price than through booking sites. Book...
