Stayed here in Oct '12. Loved the kiva fireplace, jetted tub etc. Best feature was the proximity to the Plaza and all the haute art galleries without the prices of a Four Seasons! I also liked the motel like layout so driving in and out was a breeze without any parking hassles. Staff was very responsive and free breakfast was delicious in a well appointed dining room

Room Tip: Get a room with the kiva fireplace-- definitely breaks the mould of the cookie cutter room!

My husband and I stayed here for two nights beginning with October 11, 2012. We stayed in Room 25, a junior suite with King size bed. Loved it! We had a gas powered Kiva fireplace in our sitting area, jetted tub in the bathroom, comfy bathrobes, a refrig, coffee maker, and mircowave, great bed and pillows, plenty to chose from for breakfast, and the inn is located close to everything--the square is just a short walk away--and eating establishments were just a couple of blocks away. Leave the car out in front of your room and enjoy Santa Fe on foot. Our total bill with tax for two nights was $495.55.

Spent 2 nights in September for our first stay at this facility. Totally pleasant experience with helpful, friendly front desk person, good breakfast and excellent location; easy walk to plaza and there are excellent restaurants closer than plaza. Room was comfortable and very clean as was bathroom. Bed comfortable and room quiet. Will stay again.

This is a very nice, well-staffed, and convenient inn (or, more accurately, motor lodge). Plus the ample breakfast each morning in the attractive dining room is complimentary. It's all located just a couple of blocks from the historic downtown and plaza, an easy and pleasant walk. We had a junior queen suite, one of only a few rooms on the second level as most of the property is single story. From other comments I gather that rooms on the ground level can be a little noisy as they open just off the parking area. The suite was roomy and comfortable and like the rest of the property (that I saw) very tastefully decorated in muted colors and period prints--not the overwrought southwestern style that some places in the area can fall prey to. One caution, however. Reservations for the property are apparently handled by a third party. After making my initial reservation by phone, I decided to upgrade to a king suite. I called back and received verbal confirmation followed by an email which I printed out and presented at the front desk at check-in. Despite the evidence in hand, the clerk had only my original request for a queen suite, and since the inn was full there was nothing he could do besides apologize. As it turned out the queen suite was perfectly fine, and I ended up saving a few bucks. We had a great time, and I would return. Just watch those reservations.

Room Tip: Second floor suites are probably quieter than ground level rooms.

Had two great stays at this gem in downtown Santa Fe. Clean, cozy and affordable. Nice breakfast and friendly staff. We will stay here on every visit to Santa Fe! The downtown square is a 5 minute walk so you can park your car and walk almost everywhere. The parking lot is the courtyard of the inn so you don't have to carry luggage far or worry about your car while there. Recommend staying in the rooms on the ground floor. The upstairs rooms had just a bit of room-to-room noise.

Room Tip: Stay on the ground floor if you can. Rooms are quieter.

We stayed 3 nights, touring the galleries and shopping by day and visiting our favorite restaurants for dinner. The location is great for all of that. Our room was a little crowded, but we had everything we needed. Both the room and the AC unit were QUIET, which is a big plus for me. Very friendly and helpful staff, plenty of options with the included breakfast, comfortable bed, and the mini-fridge was a nice extra. Oh, and we don't travel with a dog, but our friends do, and they enjoyed their stay here as well. We'll be back.

Room Tip: There are a few larger rooms, and they cost a bit more, so if you need the space, call and ask about...

I recently stayed at the old santa fe inn with my partner. He had not been to new mexico before. The entire experience at the inn was wonderful..starting with the reception area. the staff were welcoming, warm and knowledgable about the area. Menus for various restaurants were available and ice cold lemon water a treat after a warm drive up from albuquerque. Parking is free-a very nice touch in santa fe and everthing was in walking distance. The room was not large, but clean and full of santa fe touchs including the kiva. Breakfast was wonderful-fresh hot tortillas to make breakfast burritos, fruit, juices, eggs, potatoes, cereals.
