We arrived in Santa Fe as the last US leg of a months trip.
We are both experienced travellers.
We wanted to visit some of the sites seen in paintings of the area.
Very luckily for us our hotel ( Inn on Vannessie) organised Santa Fe Walkabouts for us. Our guide Fritz was just fantastic.
He understood our wishes and us really quickly. He took us out into the desert which was fabulous. He was a mine of interesting information. On a great holiday our day with him was our highlight.Don't miss this company Tony L

We chose SF Walkabouts because we'd noticed that, out of the fifty-something reviews, it was rated excellent unanimously. This reputation is earned through a real devotion and interest in nature, a laid-back, New Mexico-style attitude toward life, and absolutely stunning scenery on the hikes. We took the Tent Rocks trip in late May, 2013 and were blown away by 1) how easy Fritz and SFW made the trip for us, picking us and our fellow hikers up at our hotels, 2) the level of information Fritz gave us about the area, especially its history and the local pueblos, and 3) the breathtaking rock formations we hiked over, under, and around when we got there. A first-class experience, and worth every cent.

This was our first trip to Santa Fe so we decided a guided hike would be best. While we could have done this fairly easy trail on our own, I will say that it was a more pleasant experience to be with a knowledgable guide (Chris). The scenery was unbelievably beautiful. Don't miss this beautiful hike while in Santa Fe and use Santa Fe Walkabouts.

My second journey with Georges. Last trip was two years ago to a very cool waterfall. This trip was an 8.5 mile hike down into Apache Canyon and the surrounding ridges. Perfect pace, lots a great information and a wonderful personality. So what's next George? Hank and Jane

My wife and I did a tour of Chimayo, pueblos, and a winery with George on April 13. We had a great time. It was a pleasure to deal with Sue - his wife - to schedule this trip. George is an interesting, friendly and gracious guide. He is very knowledgeable about the area. He took us to places that were off the beaten path, and introduced us to rural weavers, artists, etc. I would definitely do another tour with Santa Fe walkabouts, and I would definitely recommend it to a friend.
