“A favorite for lunch!”
Reviewed January 4, 2013

Lunch at Burro Alley Cafe always feels like being in France for an all-too short visit. The atmosphere and clientele are quite european, the soups, sandwiches, salads and pastries are delicious, and the accordian player makes it feel as if you're in a little bistro on the ile st. louis. We always eat there whenever we're in Santa Fe, and we're never disappointed!

“Great little family cafe!!”
Reviewed January 2, 2013

We found this wonderful little restaurant within walking distance to our casita in Santa Fe - and what a find it was. Great food!! Friendly attentive staff. Great reasonable prices. Did I mention great food?! Especially the croissants and the huevos rancheros. Incredible green chile smothering. All of the wait staff were wonderful but especially Paul who always seemed to take it personally if he wasn't giving the best service possible. He always asked the customers to be patient because the restaurant was always full - but it was worth the wait. We were on vacation so it was easy to relax and be patient.

“Good Food, Spotty Service”
Reviewed December 29, 2012

We ate here twice during our stay in Santa Fe. The food was very good and they had a nice variety. I had a seafood crepe the first time and it was excellent. The second time I ordered the mezza plate and it too was very good and fresh. My companion also enjoyed her two meals. My mocha latte was super! We took dessert back to our hotel and it was very good. The wait staff was friendly but not very attentive. We had to ask for things a few times before getting them. I'd go back for the food.

“Don’t waste your time and money here.”
Reviewed December 26, 2012

There are good experiences to be had in Santa Fe but this ain’t one of them. Bad service, mediocre food. I had to ask for cutlery, then for napkin, then for my beverage I had ordered. And the food was below average. Definitely not freshly made; out of a freezer or powder box or something. Nice patio though but the overall concept just doesn’t work. Won't go back.

“Terribly rude service - won't go back...”
Reviewed December 25, 2012

The food was fine, but the service by the bald guy with the pony tail was inexcusable... he was obviously busy, but he was rude and off hand with us and actually only got really friendly when we asked to pay... We had to ask for menus twice (after we had managed to get someones attention finally)...

He was just as rude to other people that came in after us and it was obvious he would rather not be serving more customers...

Looking at the other reviews, it seems like it may have just been an off day for them, but you can't afford to have off days when you are running a small business...

There are a number of very nice cafe's and coffee shops in Santa Fe; we'll be frequenting them instead...
