Hyatt Place Santa Fe

We stayed here when we visited Santa Fe to celebrate our 40th anniversary. We cannot say enough good things about this hotel! We always love staying at Hyatt Place properties as the rooms are actually suites with large, comfy beds and sofa, mini-kitchen, work area, and a very nice flat-screen TV but this one was extra special because of the desk staff. They were absolutely wonderful! As an example, about ten minutes after we got into our room, there was a knock at the door. One of the ladies was standing there with a plate of freshly baked cookies in one hand and printed directions to the Balloon Fiesta in the other. Highly recommend this Hyatt Place!!

We recently spent four nights at this wonderful hotel. It is a great location, close to shopping, dining and movie theaters. Loved the hot breakfasts! Beautiful rooms, very spacious, clean and nicely decorated. The staff was wonderful, very knowledgeable, kind, courteous and thoughtful. Loved the little deli like counter at the front desk where you could grab light snacks 24/7. Great pool, gym, spa area. Loved the sitting area in the front lobby. Just very beautiful, newer property with shuttles to the downtown area so you don't have to fight the traffic or try and find parking during the "busy" tourist season. Would definitely stay here again if we ever travel to Santa Fe again.

Room Tip: Can't imagine there being a bad room in the entire place.

We stayed here this weekend and were very happy with the pleasant staff. We loved how the rooms are designed with a separate living area. A couple petty complaints - we had to ask for a new phone and blow dryer as the ones in the room did not function and when you walk into the front door of the hotel you can see the hot tub and whoever is using the hot tub. Clean rooms, good breakfast.

Room Tip: Ask for a room where the window faces south.

We stayed here last time we visited Santa Fe and had a great time. The rooms are in excellent condition and very large. It's a bit out of the city center, but that's not a problem if you've got a car.

We stayed here for one night before flying out of Santa Fe. The hotel is very clean and the room was huge...a large sitting area with a couch, desk and fridge in one half of the room and two queen beds near the sink/bathroom area. Couldn't have asked for a nicer experience, especially for the low price. The front desk staff was very helpful. The business center is centrally located and easy to use. I was able to print our boarding passes in just a couple of minutes. The hotel is not close to the downtown area, but it's a very easy 10 minute drive to the airport.

I have stayed in several places in Santa Fe. The Hyatt is less expensive than the downtown hotels but offers a lot. The rooms are large with a sitting area, a desk and a petition between the bedroom and the living area. The rooms also have a refrigerator. The breakfast was good and the only place that served fresh fruit on our 10-day trip in the west. Also, this hotel had the best WiFi, which we came to appreciate when we later stayed at older properties in more remote areas. The staff was especially friendly and filled us in on events happening in the area that weekend.

We've stayed at a range of hotels while 'On the Road' (Route 66 - going East to West) but this one wins the prize for being the most welcoming and having everything you could possible want. Nothing is too much trouble for the manager, and more importantly supplied with the friendliest service I've ever had over 40 years of travelling. Our room was more like a suite than a bedroom, with a desk, free wifi, fridge, coffee machine, sofas, excellent shower and comfortable beds. Any essentials that guests might have forgotten can be borrowed if not amongst the 'freebies' listed on a card in the bedroom to keep. There is a laundry, pool and fitness centre and everywhere was spotlessly clean and in good repair.
The hotel is out of town but there is a shuttle and a phone number to call for transport back again. On arrival I asked if I could purchase some milk and orange juice (for the cup of tea and sundowner Gin and orange respectively) and immediately the manager gave me a generous cup of both 'on the house'. The self service breakfast (included) provided a wide range to choose from with freshly made waffles and maple syrup being my favourite. As soon as any item went low, it was promptly replenished which indicated a good eye for detail and meeting customer needs. Plates and dishes were placed on a shelf above each section of food, and although unbreakable they were of good quality. Highly recommended.
