After enduring a truly awful dinner at ANOTHER restaurant the previous evening, it was a true delight to dine at Restaurant Martin. The outdoor patio was stunning and the interior lovely. You can't go wrong inside or out.

Service (Charles) was perfect---informative, friendly yet professional, timely. Treated like celebrity. And we aren't. This type of treatment is often times not given to a party of women.

Food was delicious/presentation beautiful. Scallops pronounced the best ever. Beef tenderloin properly prepared for each diner. And the thinly slice parmesan potatoes--to die for. In addition, the wine list was quite extensive with recommendations perfect.

Thank you Restaurant Martin for showing us why Santa Fe is known for culinary delights.

We went here for dinner on our last night while visiting Santa Fe, and it was a very good experience! The service was fast and our waiter was really great and attentive. I ordered the scallops and they were excellent. My friend had the mixed vegetarian plate and she loved it. We also had the bittersweet chocolate truffle cake, which was extremely yummy!! I would definitely come back here again!

Before I begin gushing about this restaurant, some qualifiers first: If you are looking for chilies and enchiladas and mole, then this place is not for you. If you do not appreciate a "casual yet professional" setting and service, then skip to the next restaurant on your list. If you do, however, appreciate dishes created with a lot of care by a chef who works to layer flavors and textures, then I strongly recommend Restaurant Martin.

We were burned out by New Mexican cooking on this trip and we wanted to try a new restaurant. Our B&B host recommended Martin.

I started with the smoked duck breast with a carrot puree, blackberries, rye tuiles, basil and a mushroom-almond "soil" which was finely ground almonds with dried powdered oyster mushrooms. So, you get sweet, rich, earthy in concert with the duck. Very delicious.

My entree was the Yellowfin Tuna seared rare, with a great combination of shiitake mushroom caps, pickled ginger dice, thin radish, grapefruit, mint leaves and rice puffs. Again, the flavors meshed and played off each other nicely. A great dish.

For dessert we had the carmelized apricot panna cotta with coconut foam and poppyseed cake cubes.

I was surprised by the price since it wasn't as high as I expected. Service was professional and efficient without being stuffy. Highly recommended.

During a recent visit to Santa Fe we had the pleasure of dining at Restaurant Martin. The outdoor courtyard where we chose to dine was spacious, well-lit, and very comfortable. Two of us--both excellent cooks--had the chicken with truffled orzo--something we probably would not have ordered but for the rave reviews we'd read beforehand. The dish was excellent. The highlight of our meal was the bittersweet chocolate truffle cake with cinnamon ice cream (it was one of those "I'd like to lick the plate clean" moments). Our one tiny regret was that the chef did not incorporate just a few more regional notes in the menu--just a bit more of a reminder that we were dining in the Southwest after all. This restaurant should be on the top of anyone's Santa Fe list.

The food was simply wonderful. The service was exquisite. We both loved every bite and cannot wait to return. Our new favorite in Santa Fe. It is a very casual feel, so you feel comfortable from the moment you walk in.
