“Good, but expensive”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 21, 2013 credit card Amex Card Member Review

I love the Greca salad, and the pronto bruschetta is amazing as well! Unfortunately, this place is fairly expensive when compared to some of the other restaurants in the area. I certainly appreciate that they are part of the rewards network, which allows for additional points on my credit card when I dine there. That's probably the primary reason I keep going back.

“A lovely casual lunch outside”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 10, 2013

Mangiamo Pronto! is a small place where we had a delightful lunch outside under the trees.

You order at the counter and they deliver to your table. It wasn't real fast, but we were enjoying ourselves.

The Panini and the gelato we had were delicious and the server was very helpful.

If a casual lunch is what you want, we would recommend them.

“Go someplace else”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 28, 2013 via mobile

Chose this small spot for a light Saturday breakfast. They were out of the vegetable frittata. And they did not know exactly what was in the other frittatas because they are made ahead elsewhere and just warmed on site. Opted for a couple of sunny side up eggs and hash browns. The potatoes were a preformed patty right out of the freezer and came oozing oil. The eggs came overcooked with totally solid yolks. And unlike their name, they were anything but pronto. They run an Italian movie on a tv in the seating area--perhaps to give customers something to do while waiting for their meal. There are many other breakfast options on and near the plaza. Try one of them, and stay away from this place.

We are sorry you were so disappointed. We make our frittatas fresh, in-house, first thing every morning. The frittatas take 20 minutes to bake, so when we run out, that’s it. The Italian sausage and veggie frittatas look very similar as the only difference in ingredients is the sausage. We have come up with a system to tell the difference, so that won’t happen in the future. Sometimes it’s difficult to get the eggs perfect as everyone has a little different idea of the over easy, over medium, etc. terminology. We are always more than happy to redo the eggs if they don’t turn out they way you want them. All you have to do is ask. We do use a frozen hash brown patty as do many restaurants. We grill them on our panini grill. We are looking in to an alternative to this. Our kitchen is tiny, so if there are a large number of egg orders, it can take us 10-15 minutes to serve you. If you are looking for freshly cooked eggs, I don’t think you can expect it much quicker. I think you were overly harsh. We have regulars that come weekly for our breakfast.

“Skip the gelato”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 11, 2013

I can't speak to the restaurant but the gelato stand next door, occasionally open, is not worth the effort. My choice, the espresso flavor, was full of ice chunks and tasted like it had been in the freezer forever. The clerk refunded my money without question. Message to an entrepreneur out there: We need a good gelato stand in Santa Fe.

The gelato is all fresh. The espresso has a little different texture than the rest of the gelato, but it still has a delicious flavor. I wish you would have tried one of the other 11 gelati. Maybe the texture would have been more to your liking. During the summer, we are typically open Friday thru Sunday, noon to 6pm, however, you can always get gelato at pronto, next door if the gelateria is closed.

“Light, delicious lunch in Santa Fe”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 22, 2013

My wife and I were spending some down time in Santa Fe at the tail end of an extended road trip. We had dinner reservations at a nice restaurant and had spent the morning walking around the downtown plaza area and going through the New Mexico Museum of Art. We wanted a very light lunch and a glass of wine to enjoy in a relaxing venue. We happened upon Mangiamo Pronto un Cafe Italiano. We split a BLT Panini with avocado and a side pasta salad and each had a glass of chilled Orvieto Classico. We sat at their outdoor front patio. It was lovely. They served us the Panini and salad already split on two plates. I think they actually gave us a double serving of pasta salad. It was delicious with olives, feta cheese and a pesto topping. The Panini was also delicious. It was just what we were looking for; a very good, light meal, nice glass of wine and a very relaxing ambiance.
