My mother-in-law and I took a cooking class at Santa Fe School of Cooking when she was visiting. We both had a lot of fun and were incredibly impressed with the energetic chefs, easy to follow recipes, amazing taste of the food, and the overall experience. I can't wait to take another class! This is a fun thing to do to celebrate a birthday, entertain visitors, or for a fun date. I highly recommend this experience!

The Santa Fe School of Cooking, Kitchen Angels, the Santa Fe Farmer's Market Institute and Home Grown New Mexico are hosting a series of cooking demonstrations once a month at the School. Local chefs prepare tasty bites using local organic produce and, wow, these demonstrations are a great value. Normally cooking classes are $80+ and these are just $22. Remember, this is a cooking demo, not the full blown Cooking School classes, but if my mom had cooked veggies like those chefs, there would never have been any complaints.

Not only are the recipes great, but the suggestions on where to buy local are very helpful. Door prizes and just general fun.

Over 2 years have been fortunate to experience several walking tours, a number of demo and hands-on classes, and to top it off boot camp! Learned lots, ate well, and had a fantastic experience each time. The staff and chefs that make up the school make it special -- their expertise and experience coupled with their communication and teaching skills combine to make it each class truly special.

My wife and I booked this activity for our 25th anniversary trip to the SW and had a great time learning the cooking techniques, recipes and enjoying the food after the class was over. We took the Traditional Mexican II class and really enjoyed all the entres prepared! Chefs Jeremiah and Noe were great instructors and created a fabulous meal. There are two options for classes: Demonstration or Hands-on. Make sure you pick the one that you prefer. We enjoyed the demonstration version.

Excellent "hands on" time to prepare our lunch made of New Mexican food! The facilities were clean, organized, and had everything prepared to do this. Chef Tracy had her eyes and ears and taste buds on all 7 items the group of 12 prepared. She gave us cooking pointers along the way beyond what was called for in the recipes. The staff assisted with quickly setting our places and drinks, and provided cleanup.
Within their new building they offer availability for evening and lunch events with local musical groups for entertainment and/or a wine sommelier. The food and service that evening was fabulous! They can really cook! It's a very short walk from the plaza square. Our group had ages 14 to 60 participating and all seemed to enjoy. I recommend a class or event for friends, couples, older children, and business.
