“A treat for the eyes and ears”
Reviewed November 14, 2013

It is one of those splendid old preserved venues that often appear IN the movies but are not often a reality in communiities with multiplexes. The preservation of the Lensic has made one of the great sites for almost any of the performing arts, we have seen three performances, the Met on HD, a National Theatre Anniversary and live jazz and they have all been wonderful and if you are in Santa Fe, check ahead for shows and go. Sitting in the balcony in the lovely old seats with great site lines is worth it almost no matter - wonderful cadre of helpful guides and in many ways it says more about the heart of the arts in Santa Fe than the Opera.

“A Santa Fe Gem”
Reviewed November 2, 2013

The Lensic center brings real talent to Santa Fe!! It's amazing how you can walk in for a show and the performers are so close to the audience. Pretty good set up. I've seen some really famous people here. Glad this place is in my town.

“Magic, beauty and diversity at the Lensic”
Reviewed November 1, 2013

While you're in SFe, check out what's happening at the Lensic, the exterior is Moorish/Spanish Renaissance style and the interior is like a little jewel box. Nancy Zeckendorf completely remodeled the place in 2001 from a movie palace to a state-of-the-art, nonprofit performing arts center. It's fantastic and Bob Martin brings an enormous variety of music, dance and community together. It's really worth a visit. I've never gone away from a performance unhappy. Just beautiful. Recently saw National Geographic editor at large/photographer Nick Nichols present 'Giants, Lions and Elephants' and it was awesome. Support the arts!

“Check out their performance schedule!”
Reviewed October 25, 2013

Catch a performance of the wonderful Aspen Santa Fe Ballet, a lecture, film or musical performance at this downtown Santa Fe venue. They also feature live opera performances from the Met.
