“Do Not Waste Your Money”

We have visited this museum before, and while it's never been great, this time was just awful. I understand that art is subjective, but in a community filled with incredible artistic talent, this is just simply a slap in the face to anyone wanting to see the height of the art offerings in Santa Fe. I am sorry, but with all the remarkable painting and sculpture in the galleries, it's insulting to expect people to appreciate rhinestone-covered matchbox toys and wrenches hung on plywood. Additionally, a good portion of the gallery was closed; we can only hope that the pieces soon to be displayed there will be better than the rest of the museum.

“nice collection”
Reviewed September 2, 2012

A well-rounded collection of New Mexico art, dating back 14,000 years to the present. Docent tour was interesting - our docent really knew her stuff. Just wish it were larger - seems like the space might be managed more efficiently to squeeze in a few more pieces.
