The Shed is a great local hangout a couple of stone throws up Palace Avenue from The Plaza. For lunch get there early to avoid a wait. Even if you have to wait, it is in a nice courtyard. Enjoy the eclectic Santa Fe design and styling. The staff are patient and friendly.
Once seated, the menu has many favorites. On this particular day (4th of July), we started with some refreshing raspberry tea while we pondered the menu. We started by sharing a yummy Bleu Cheese and Walnut Salad. The we had two mains: #4 Enchiladas and the Chicken Enchilada Plate. The #4 is all enchiladas. The plate comes with beans and posole. As you can see from the attached photos, our plates were clean when we were done. Tasty !
About now we wanted something a little sweet but were feeling rather full. Here is a hint. Order the cold Raspberry Soup. Creamy and sweet and very refreshing on warm Santa Fe days. You will really like this.
All in all, a great lunch. Friendly. Everything was served quickly (In and Out in about an hour). And a very reasonable price for the center of Santa Fe. Excellent.
