The Girard collections were incredible Difficult to describe, since each collection represented one of over 100 countries. Not quite miniatures, each case told a story, with a guide book to help interpret. We also enjoyed a special exhibit on Japanes kites, and a mouth-watering film about chocolate. A must-see in Santa Fe, but leave plenty of time.

I haven't seen many museums dedicated to just folk art. Intereting displays and art were attractive to my wife and I.

If you love folk art as I do than this museum is a MUST while visiting Santa Fe. It is a lovely gem. Southwestern Folk Art is historically interesting as well as beautiful to learn about.

The entire museum is wonderful, but the Girard collection of miniatures from all over the world is extraordinary. If you can visit only one museum in SF, make this this one.

We spent 4 hours looking at the permanent collection here. So many really interesting things to see. Could easily spend all day here if only one had the stamina.

And the added bonus was an exhibition about the meeting of Spanish and New world cuisine, with an excellent feature on chocolate
