“Historical Church”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 17, 2013

Try to time your visit without a bus load of tourists as the church is small. It's best for photos in the afternoon as the front of the church is in the shade in the morning (at least in October). Parking in the area is difficult. It's about a four block walk from the plaza.

“My favorite church in Santa Fe”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 17, 2013

San Miguel Mission is a deeply spiritual place. Yes you can watch a film explaining the history of the mission and that is great too. I enjoy just sitting inside and taking in the feeling of the place. I come and sit whenever I am in Santa Fe.

“Another must see”

Another must see in Santa Fe. Small fee to get in but we'll worth it. It's very historical and spiritual.

“Nation's oldest Church Structure ca. 1610”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 15, 2013

This very old adobe church still serves the faithful in Santa Fe (Holy Faith)! Some of the old vigas from the restoration in the 1700's are still visible. As you enter the back of the church there is an old bell cast in 1326 on a podium. Visitors are allowed to hit it with a mallet to hear its clear chime. The bell is surrounded by small milagros (silver charms representing illness that the faithful desire relief from.) The $1 entry fee is well worth the opportunity to see this historical spiritual structure.
