“Beautiful chapel”
Reviewed August 28, 2013

This is among the more beautiful chapels I've seen and the stairway is amazing. Not being Catholic, I didn't appreciate the gift ship. I'm sure there are those for whom all the religious stuff is very important.

“Amazing staircase”
Reviewed August 28, 2013

It is worth stopping at Loretto Chapel just to see the beautiful staircase, an engineering miracle. A recording tells the miraculous story of the staircase.

“Amazing Architecture”
Reviewed August 27, 2013

This is so worth visiting.... A DON'T MISS when in Santa Fe. The church itself is so beautiful for being so small and then the miraculous staircase being there...is just fascinating. It's peaceful and wonderful to sit and imagine 100 years ago.... how this place was used.

“PEACEFUL! HISTORIC! MIRACULOUS!”
Reviewed August 27, 2013

No matter if the story of the "miracle" is true or not, this is still one of the loveliest chapels you'll ever see. It's worth the small entry fee to just sit here and meditate or relax in the quiet of what was once a consecrated sanctuary.

“Approachable miracle!”
Reviewed August 26, 2013

The famous no visible means of support double staircase built by an unknown carpenter who appeared after the Sisters of Loretto had prayed for 9 days is amazing. Once it was completed the carpenter disappeared without asking for payment. The story is told well there, you can take pictures (gorgeous stained glass) and the gift shop really does have something for everyone.
