Just off the main plaza is Loretta Chapel. The beauty and lore of this chapel makes you feel peaceful and prayerful. It was not crowded when I arrived but became quite crowded very quickly. It is so easy to visit while atrolling around Santa Fe, try to stop by.

The chapel was a beautiful old church which contains the miraculous staircase. It was a spiral staircase built without railings or any handrails. They were added in the late 1880s. Worth the visit for history

It was nice to visit the chapel after reading about the construction of the staircase. The chapel is very attractive.

The chapel is downtown, close to Santa Fe Plaza, and worth a visit. Entrance fee was a tiny $4 per person. It takes about 20 mins. to soak it all in and photos are permitted. As you walk around this small chapel an audio story of the miraculous staircase plays. A sign outside alerted us that the chapel would be closed for a wedding in the afternoon = plan accordingly.

Beautiful chapel with an interesting past. We enjoyed this special place as a part of a walking tour in Santa Fe. Recommend a visit while you’re here.

This small chapel contains the historic stairwell that was constructed by an anonymous carpenter who stopped by to help the sisters get to the balcony choir loft. Later the rails were added. The carpenter was never heard from after completion. Miracle? You bet!!

This decommissioned chapel has an interesting history told on an audio loop inside. Worth seeing the amazing (not quite sure it's "miraculous") and impressive double spiral staircase...

I took a picture of the diorama so you could see what the staircase looked like originally. It is a very stunning church. The miraculous staircase was stunning. It was definitely worth what we paid to look around and see the architecture.

This place is a historical gem to see. Not sure its worth the price, but glad we went in. I bought some holy water at the gift shop.
