“Spiral Staircase a novelty”
Reviewed October 25, 2012

Worth seeing once...you have to pay to get in, but not much there. It's a little hard to hear/understand the narration that plays over loud speakers, explaining a bit of history of the place.

“Awesome!”

Hard to describe but chapel and staircase are beautiful. The story that goes along with the staircase makes it even better. A must see if you are in Santa Fe.

“Experience a miracle”
Reviewed October 24, 2012

You have to visit the Loretto Chapel and see those beautiful stairs. It truly is a miracle. (Remember that old Sydney Portier movie about building the Loretto stairs?) It is still a mystery how they can hold over 1000 lbs. with no support. The wood that was used is unlike any in this world. Scientists can't identify it.

Visiting this chapel proved to be an emotional experience. I wholeheartedly recommend spending the $3 for admission.

“Awesome and Inspiring”
Reviewed October 22, 2012

The Loretta Chapel is not only beautiful but the story behind the spiral staircase is captivating. I understand that many weddings are held in the Chapel and I can understand why!
