This was a good place to stay at a fair price. Reception was friendly and a little wacky in a nice Santa Fe way. The rooms have a themed approach and are decorated to a good basic standard. Breakfast was more than we expected and was more than enough to get you started - don't expect a major spread - that's not in the deal.
it is a mile or so out of town but the bus is pretty frequent and contained a good cross section of Santa Fe characters on our trips. The furniture and homeware emporium next door to the Motel was also worth an hour's exploration.
All in all the Silver Saddle was a good experience in a safe and friendly neighbourhood. Don't expect a designer hotel but go to enjoy a little local character with good hosts.More
