The house on Aztec Street was very comfortable and pleasant for two of us, and accommodating when three family members joined us for the last few days of our stay in Santa Fe. Easy to walk to all downtown Santa Fe spots. Airy, spacious interior.
The women who prepare gourmet breakfasts each day at Casa del Toro's pleasant dining area do a fantastic job, and are very accommodating and knowledgeable about restaurants specializing in Southwestern cuisine.

Hi I just wanted to avoid any confusion. This guest stayed with us in one of our Vacation Rentals. We do not typically offer breakfast in these units. They did arrange to come to breakfast at our bed and breakfast The Casa del Toro, (commercial URL)

For Spring Break, 2004, a friend and I spent an enchanting 3 days in Santa Fe. We were looking forward to our adventure as we had never been before. Finding the Casitas on the Internet, I booked a room for the afordable price. Our place was a precious little resting place with Saltillo tile throughout plus a kitchennette and tile bath. We only expected to need a place to rest at night. Upon arriving, the ambiance of the room and the view of the mountains from the front door took our breath away. A special touch included was the gas stove to keep away the early morning chill. We ended up spending a lot of time in our room as well as enjoying the lovely city of Santa Fe. The staff at the Casitas were friendly and competent. Everyone worked hard to make our stay very enjoyable. Because of this hospitality, we have a wonderful first impression of the city of Santa Fe. Also, the owner, Bruce, accurately describes the accomodations on the Net. The Virtual Tour is also very helpful as it gives you an idea of what you are making reservations for. All of the Casitas are in walking distance from the Plaza. We parked our car and walked for 3 days. I would reccommend the Chapelle Street Casitas to anyone who wishes to feel like they are staying in a special private home, not just a stark motel room. We will certainly be back and plan to bring the rest of our family with us!
Thanks for a wonderful trip and a memorable stay! Check out the auctions for the Chapelle Street Casitas on eBay! Thanks again!

There's no way around it, accommodations in Santa Fe are very
expensive, if you want more than a cheap motel room. I chose the
Chapelle Street Casitas, because they offered units with full kitchen
facilities at comparatively lower rates, the location was great, and
their website photos were appealing. We paid $70.00/night for a one
bedroom unit (260 1/2 Staab St.) , a reduced off-season rate (normally,
it would cost 110.00/night.) Overall, the place was fine. However, the
owner/manager was impossible to reach and the kitchen was missing very
basic items such as cooking utensils, dinner plates, a toaster, etc. We
left a phone message regarding the missing items, but received no
response. There was no check-in or check-out process, and we weren't
asked to sign for our bill/credit card payment or given any kind of a
receipt (even though we had left another phone message requesting
this). The nonresponsiveness of the manager was pretty disconcerting.
Anyone staying here should be clear right up front about their needs
and expectations.
