Hacienda Nicholas is the perfect B&B to explore and enjoy Old Santa Fe. Stealing from the state's slogan, it was simply "enchanting." It's just a couple short blocks from the Plaza and Canyon Road where many art galleries reside. It is really an ideal location if you want to take in all that the old town has to offer -- restaurants, shopping, galleries, historic buildings and more.

We stayed in the The Chamisa Suite. Very charming and skylights above the bedroom made the room very cheery during the day. Loved the four post bed. It even comes with a step stool to help you climb onto the bed! The neighborhood and street where the B&B is located was quiet, so you have no worries about getting a restful night's sleep. Beyond the suite, the breakfasts prepared by the owner, Carolyn Lee and her staff, were simply outstanding and delish! So good, we couldn't leave Santa Fe without buying her cookbook. And Carolyn's entire staff were friendly and attentive to the needs of every guest.

The charming courtyard was the perfect place to enjoy breakfast and start your day. Every morning, before venturing out to town, we had the pleasure to meet other couples staying at Hacienda Nicholas. Also, their 5 o' clock happy hour was the perfect way to finish a busy day of site seeing and shopping, with a glass of wine, some light bites and sharing stories with others guests, including suggestions for where to have dinner each evening.

Whether it's your first visit or your fiftieth visit to Santa Fe you will be absolutely delighted and charmed by staying at Hacienda Nicholas. My wife and I plan to visit Santa Fe again and without a doubt we will be sure to book our stay here.

The Hacienda Nicholas Bed & Breakfast was a charming, adobe style "hacienda" with a beautiful courtyard. The owners are very accommodating and they share their knowledge of Santa Fe and the surrounding area as well as their love of food with their guests. The breakfasts were delightful! Our room, The Nicholas, was very nice as well as clean. We had everything we needed at our disposal. Especially liked the access to the courtyard. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!!!

Room Tip: All rooms were nice, but the two suites, Nicholas and The Sunflower had access to the beautiful courtyard.

Dear Jeanne C,
How wonderful that you enjoyed your time in The Nicholas Room - the fireplace in that room is especially welcome now that we have a bit of fall chill in the evening air. We shall welcome you back with open arms, and are happy to share many more tips about Santa Fe and the surrounding area.

All the best,
Carolyn

Wonderful stay at the cottage in a quiet neighborhood with its own garden and view of the stars. And just a short walk to the plaza and over to a gourmet breakfast and engaging happy hour! We loved the feel of being in Santa Fe with all the comforts of home, New Mexico flavor surrounding us, and daily visits from Tom Brady (the four legged Brady):-)

Carolyn is a wonderful hostess with a warm team including Marilee and Regan.

Dear Nopaperwork,
Indeed, the Cottage is the perfect place to stay to get away from paperwork and life's daily chores, and Santa Fe's clear skies allow for plenty of star gazing. How wonderful that you enjoyed all the New Mexico flavor of the place, along with visits from Mr. Brady. Merrilee and Regan are fabulous women, and I feel fortunate they have been working with me for almost 15 years now - so glad you enjoyed their company.
Thank you for writing. We hope to see you again one day.

This is the perfect place to use as your base in Santa Fe. We walked everywhere in town and it was great. The people at the Inn are warm and welcoming and always ready to help you in any way they can. The happy hour was a nice way to meet fellow guests, the breakfast's every morning were a delicious adventure. We had the added treat of watching Merillee sing and dance as she was fixing our breakfast. We look forward to returning to Santa Fe and staying at the Hacienda Nicholas.

Room Tip: We stayed in the Sage room, it was small but cozy also it was very convenient.

Dear Timothy A,
I couldn't agree with you more - our staff is terrific, and genuinely interested in helping guests have the absolute best stay possible. Merrilee is especially fun, with such a love of life and a lively personality. Perhaps when you return we will have choreographed a special Sunday Morning Waffle dance.
All the best,
Carolyn

We stayed here for three nights in the Wisteria Room and loved it! Breakfast in the courtyard was lovely with time to meet other guests. Wine before dinner was enchanting as we relaxed and shared our experiences. Plus the innkeepers gave us ideas and directions for our touring each day. Hacienda Nicholas is a quiet, relaxing inn within walking distance of restaurants, plaza, Canyon Drive and much more. We highly recommend it!!
