Nice hotel, near the central plaza. Great front desk staff. Rooms are a bit small, but nice. No coffee maker. Dingy bed linens and towels. Good breakfast in outside restaurant, even tho the waitstaff neglected us afte3r serving our meal. Gouge price on room prior to Indian Market Weekend. Ouch!

Room Tip: Some rooms are minute, so ask for another.

I am sorry to say we were disappointed; rooms small; bathrooms even smaller. No iron in room, garbage can wasn't emptied one day, empty box (cotton balls) left on shelf above sink; bottom sheets weren't smoothed & re-tucked when bed made. Lighting inadequate. On the positive side-people at the front desk were friendly & helpful when approached.
Restaurant at this hotel (not owned by hotel) was very good.
Overall not a $300+/'night room. Will not stay here again.

This old place made our stay a new experience. The room was petite, and that is just fine with us.
The only noise was us treading the creaky wood floors, and that too is just fine by us. We were cozy and clean in this romantic old western setting. At the front desk, Jeremy welcomed us in, and sent us on our way to his favorite local Tapas restaurant that was open late, and it was fabulous.
Next morning our breakfast was spent in the hotel's courtyard restaurant Tabla, and it was really good, and rich and filling and comfortable.
We appreciated our visit.

Hello Teri W and thank you for your review of the historic Hotel St Francis. We are so pleased to hear you loved the ambiance and the romance of our lovely hotel. It's nice to hear you appreciated some of the building's historic quirks and got to experience a taste of Santa Fe. Jeremy and the rest of our friendly staff would love to welcome you back for another memorable stay next time you are having an adventure in our "city different". Alder Seaman

If the hotel abided by truth in labeling, where we stayed would not be called a Deluxe King. The only truthful part was that it had a king-sized bed. The room was very small and the outlet situation was so lacking that they had a power strip laying on the floor beside the bed. The first Deluxe King we were sent to had a bathroom so small that there was a bowl- type sink on a small table in the bedroom because there was no room for it in the bathroom. When we complained about the room, they were amenable to giving us another DeLuxe King that had a bathroom with a small sink in it. Another quaint feature was that the door to the bathroom was warped enough that it could not be closed completely. There was one side chair stuck in a corner with no accompanying table. In all, there was a real absence of horizontal surfacesof any kind. No newspaper was provided at the door to the room, but there wasn't even the opportunity to get one in the lobby. Fortunately the restaurant is owned and run by another company. The hotel ownership/management needs to be told that the year is 2013. Needless to say, we will never stay at this hotel again.

Stayed there for a few days because it had decent reviews and was centrally located..Big Mistake. Rooms were like my college dorm room..hotel service at the front desk was completely unprofessional..could not get a drink at the bar and the restaurant was below average at best..And to top it off...they towed my car from there hotel parking lot which was totally unbelievable..no apologies from the hotel though!! They gave me a number of where I could pick my car up...50 dollar cab ride and 181 dollars towing fee.
Great Place...right! Motel 6 had to be better than this awful place.

Thank you for your review of Hotel St Francis. We appreciate you taking the time to post a review. We do everything we can to avoid towing guests. As long as the guest has followed the procedures in putting their parking permit in the dashboard and filling out their car information at check-in, we will absolutely not tow a guest. When a car is unmarked, parked all day in a handicapped space blocking a handicapped guest from access to their car, we are required by law to tow. Alder Seaman
