“What a Wonderful Place to eat.”

I got to enjoy a wonderful meal at the Hotels Restaurant for Breakfast a few weeks ago. I have to say that not only was the food so good but our server Jerry. He was an amazing person to talk to and get serviced by such a good soul. He made us feel very comfortable and made sure we were happy with our Meal. I give the Restaurant a 10 and Jerry a 10 +++.

Our stay at the Hotel St. Francis was a pleasure. We chose the hotel on the basis of location and the desire to stay in a historical and historic facility. In addition, the hotel's pet friendly, an important factor in much of our travel.

Be aware that this is an historic building and you won't be disappointed. Our room was small, which we anticipated, but with enough room to comfortably accommodate our puppy's crate and the rest of our impedimentia. The king-size bed was incredibly comfortable, with nine (yes, count them) fluffy down pillows.

The bathroom was small, but if you know this going in you will be disappointed. Once again, this is an historic building and a special place.

The lobby exudes a quiet elegance and at one end has a large fireplace, which was used one of the nights we were there. At the opposite end of the lobby is the hallway leading to the restaurant, where we had breakfast before departing on Martin Luther King Day. In the afternoons, the hotel offers a high tea/sherry service. We didn't try the latter.

When this hotel says it offers complimentary high-speed Internet, it means it. Unlike other hotels, especially the national chains, there is no charge and the Internet speed we had in our room rivaled the cable modem we have at home.

The staff is solicitous without being obsequious and helpful.

There is a quiet elegance to this hotel which is something we appreciated.

Room Tip: Understand that if you are traveling with a pet you are placed on the first floor on the south side...

I have stayed in the Old Santa Inn in the past but wanted to add a bit of competition to my choices. This place is something special, spotless and beautifully decorated from the lobby in. In fact the lobby is really special, spacious doesn't adequately describe it! Don't expect large rooms, my room was small by US standards, but nicely laid out. Right in the centre of Santa Fe so easy to get around, parking is limited right next to the hotel. Breakfast excellent, but not cheap. Staff friendly but discrete. I really like this place and will stay again, good deals can be had.

This hotel is closely bound with the history of the city, and that is reflected in the historic pictures and artwork found throughout the property. Located just one block off the plaza, it is surrounded by cute little shops, wonderful dining, and of course, Spanish historic sites such as the Palace of the Governors and Catholic Churches. The rooms retain all the charm of "old Santa Fe" and yet have all the modern conveniences expected in a 4-star hotel. Down pillows on a very comfy bed, flat screen TV and available wi-fi are all fitted in with folk art coat racks of wood and wrought iron, an an antique secretariat converted to a TV cabinet and chest of drawers, and the original oak flooring. While some may think the rooms a bit small, one must remember that this hotel is over 200 years old and, at least for us, the smaller rooms just add to the charm of the place.

Room Tip: We were on the third floor and it was a bit warm (even in January) but we opened the window and were...

My fiance and I stayed at the Hotel St Francis when we visited Santa Fe because we found a Groupon for it. The location was awesome, right in the historic downtown area, surrounded by a lot of great shops and restaurants. The woman who checked us in at the front desk was very helpful and courteous, and promptly sent up the free bottle of wine that came with our Groupon deal! The rooms are a bit small but very well decorated and the linens were so soft. The historic hotel is decorated to resemble a monastery, and we felt like we were staying in a castle! We had a very special, romantic stay at the Hotel St. Francis

We looked for pet friendly accommodations near the plaza in Santa Fe and found the Hotel Saint Francis to be a great value as well.

With these words, "I've always wanted to stay there," my husband made our reservation and started our delightful winter getaway.

Within walking distance of all the history near the plaza, Hotel Saint Francis was our refuge. We toured on foot and were within easy reach of shops, restaurants and beautiful sites of the city's cultural heritage.

Our efficient room only lacked for a little more storage. Our bed was glorious (NINE DOWN PILLOWS!). The staff and management were cordial and helpful. We had breakfast on our final morning at the hotel's restaurant, La Tabla. Seated near the gas fireplace, we were served by an attentive Eric and the breakfast met all our needs.

We will definitely consider staying here again.

Room Tip: Ask to see the selection to make sure it meets your needs.
