“Wonderful hotel in Downtown Santa Fe”
Reviewed May 29, 2013

We stayed here for a long weekend getaway. The hotel is just one Adobe style building located off the main square in downtown Santa Fe - very unassuming, but warm and welcoming! The restaurant's patio offers alfresco dining and that's what catches your eye! Location is perfect if you like exploring on foot - within walking distance of all of the major sights in Santa Fe. If you drive, you'll need to valet park with the hotel. You'll use the car for day trips, if any (such as the Tent Rocks or Bandelier Monuments). The staff was wonderful and very attentive. Room was beautifully decorated, clean and had all the amenities that you could wish for. No spa/pool/gym on site but with the walking around town, you won't miss exercising! Highly recommend this hotel if staying in downtown Santa Fe.

Room Tip: We had a traditional king room on the 3rd floor - very quiet, spacious and well-appointed. Can't...

The hotel reminded me of a Four Seasons but with southwest, genuine charm. My husband and I booked the "Perfect 10" package for 4 nights with a Deluxe King room. The room was clean with hardwood floors, a very comfortable King bed with a TV that raises and lowers via remote at the foot of the bed (my husband's favorite feature). The free valet parking was a great perk since it is $20/day. We only ate in the hotel restaurant once and it was good; however, we preferred the local food. We asked for a "quite room" and they gave us room 302 and we couldn't have been happier. We mentioned we were celebrating our 5 year anniversary and they had a bottle of sparkling wine and a small dessert tray in our room when we arrived. Bob Romero, one of the concierges, made our trip so enjoyable. He made our white water rafting reservations, followed up to ensure we received them, gave us local maps and suggested GREAT local restaurants.

Room Tip: Ask to stay on the top floor (only has 3 floors). Ask for Bob Romero, the concierge. We stayed in...

I am not much of a fan for the "boutique-ie" style hotels but this one was pretty nice. It was in a great location, steps away from the famous square (I learned from a local that everything is measured from THE square) which is good for shopping and people watching. The food at the hotel was outstanding and service was great.

The rooms were very nice and the turn-down service was incredible! Every room has a quaint fireplace which was lit when I came in at night and 2 perfect sized, scrumptious, homemade cookies were beside my bed! These cookies made the Double Tree cookies taste like Chips-A-Hoy!

My only complaint was I had a squeaky bed. Every time I turned over, it sqeaked and woke me up.

If you are looking for an outstanding hotel experience in the Santa Fe area, the Rosewood Inn of the Anasazi is the place for you. Not only is the hotel beautifully designed, but the staff will go out of their way to make sure your stay is the best experience it can be. The concierge is more than happy to help plan day trips, offering directions and excellent recommendations for restaurants and excursions. (Not to mention the amazing restaurant and bar). I highly recommend this hotel after two stays here. The service has consistently excelled.

Room Tip: If possible, make sure to book a room with a patio, it's a nice extra space to sit outside in th...

this was my second stay at the Inn and it was a wonderful experience. From check-in to check-out, it is obvious that the staff pays attention to details. Love the gourmet chocolates in the room on arrival and the cookies at night with turn down service. The humidifier at night is a nice touch in the high desert. Excellent location. I rarely need the car, but when I do it is always brought quickly. The staff not only knows my name, they pronounce it correctly.

This was our second stay at the Inn and we frequently stay at Rosewood properties. This is our favorite stop in one of our favorite cities. The hotel is beautifully designed, very adobe. Couldn't be better located, around the corner from the Governor's Palace. Rooms are lovely, fittings/bedding great, service excellent. Very good bar and restaurant. Super breakfast. We had four dinners, three were very good, one just okay. Handsome dining room, fine service. It's a small property, so there are a few drawbacks. The views out the the sides (most of the views) aren't great. There are no big hotel amenities like a pool or a fitness room. Didn't use the spa. If those things don't matter, stay here.

Room Tip: The upgrades are worth it.

This is a small jewel in downtown Santa Fe. From the cowboy bell men to the Native-American decor the place is designed to appeal to the discriminating tourist. The staff knows your name and are helpful and willing to put themselves out to assist.
The rooms (we were in 225) are determinedly Southwest which sometimes sacrifices utility for style. For instance, the TV stand/minibar/coffee bar is difficult, with the doors not opening all the way back, presenting a possible hazard while using the bar.

Our bed was comfortable but sits a good three free from the floor. Seniors or short people will find it a mountain to climb in.

The hotel is walking distance from downtown and many shops, churches and museums. Leave your stilettos at home as the streets and sidewalks are bumpy and small, and there is a lot of restoration going on.

The hotel has all the amenities I like- night light in the bathroom (tub and shower) with a magnifying mirror. An iron and safe are provided with in-room coffee and tea. Lady Primrose toiletries and nice as are the two big robes and house shoes. They have nightly turn down service with cookies every night, and weary shoppers are offered lemonade and cookies when the return in the afternoon.
Our room had a great balcony with lounge chairs.
we had great massage in the room. The Inn doesn't have a spa.

Santa Fe weather was delightful - sweater in the morning, short sleeves in the afternoon.

Our group had a buffet breakfast with oatmeal, egg and cheese burritos or scrambled eggs and granola with al the fixings. A suggestion is that the plates must each weigh a pound and a half, which makes the buffet take two trips.

I love visiting hotel "libraries" and the In-room hotel guide touts Southwestern books, but I didn't find any. This is a collection of old second-hand undistinguished books from a used book store with all book jackets removed. And even worse (for this Library volunteer) many boos were upside down!

On balance, I would heartily recommend the Rosewood Inn of the Anasazi.
