“family run, comfortable”
Reviewed October 23, 2012

We stayed two nights at this small familiy run B &B on a cross country trip across 8 states. The outstanding attraction of this property is its proximity to the historic district of Santa Fe, less than a mile and about half the price of hotels in the same neighbourhood. The proprietor, Dolores, can connect you with the life of a native Sante Fe family, and I agree with other reviewers about the breakfast conversations. The B and B is adjacent to three good restaurants, we ate at the Azur and the food was very good. I am a painter and completed several small sketches from the parking area of this hotel, which I know I couldn't do at the Hilton. The other interesting thing about this hotel is the style of architecture, which depends on columns and corbells with a second story porch, all built and designed by the extended Quintana family.

This is one of the best places to stay in Old Santa Fe with the Quintana sisters - gracious hostesses with a history woven into this magical place. The location is wonderful - a nice stroll to the Plaza and Alameda - and the breakfasts are wonderful.

Room Tip: All the rooms are off the street and quiet. Check the website to see what appeals to you.

This is a quintessential Southwestern B&B. Quaint, clean. The family/owners are wonderful. Very accommodating, good breakfasts and great breakfast conversations. 10 minute walk to plaza. An authentic Santa Fe experience. We would highly recommend.

Imagine a place of peace and homelike comfort with the ambiance of old Santa Fe thrown into the mix , that is the magic of The Guadalupe Inn. Our room was immaculate yet authentic Santa Fe warmth w/ modern conveniences. The Inn is located on Agua Fria St. which is extremely quiet yet within walking distance of the central plaza , museums, shops and some of the most fabulous restaurants . You really do not need a car at all if you stay here . We only had to walk out the door for all these conveniences yet it felt as if we were secluded in the countryside once we were back in our room. Dolores serves breakfast to order from a wide choice of huevos rancheros , tortillas, bacon, toast w/ fresh fruit ,eggs any way , home fries- all wonderful ! She is a storyteller and this has always been her families home, i could have spent all day listening to her tales! I feel so grateful to have found this home away from home as we will be in Santa Fe often in the future. Absolutely perfect in every way ~

Room Tip: The rooms are all pictured on the website and we picked out the one we liked and got exactly what we...

We've stayed here a number of times because of its location, authentic Santa Fe flavor and especially for the exceptionally warm hospitality of sisters/owners Delores and Henrietta. The rooms are clean, well equipped and there is a covered garage. They will cook a wonderful breakfast to order and entertain you with stories of old Santa Fe.

We do a LOT of world-wide traveling and the Guadalupe Inn is one of our very favorite places to stay.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a Santa Fe fireplace.

The Guadalupe Inn is over one hundred years old and stayed within the same family during this time. They are the traditional New Mexico Family who offer familiar Santa Fe architecture with a warmth and style that is unique to their tradition. A city over 400 years old, its narrow streets, farmers market, art museums, and music in the plaza is memorable. Walk everywhere and enjoy the refreshing atmosphere as well as the unique light enjoyed by photographers. Visit the near by church and historical center for the Lady of Guadalupe. Dolores and Henrietta will have many stories to tell you about the neighborhood, plus a tasty breakfast. Mine was corn tortillas with eggs and green chilies...wonderful. Susanne

Room Tip: The rooms are spacious and comfortable with an assortment from individual visitors to families. Qui...

This is a great place to stay in Downtown Santa Fe. Henrietta and Delores are pure delights. They know all the in's and out's of Santa Fe as well as the history. The rooms are clean and well maintained. They provide a wonderful breakfast each morning. Perfect location to walk all of downtown... no car needed. Will go back again.
