“Very relaxing, enjoyable stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 7, 2013

We only had three days in Santa Fe, and with a last minute booking, Pueblo Bonito took care of us! We had to change rooms after the first night, but that was no big deal at all--they did all the work while we were out sightseeing and enjoying the city.
The location is great....walk to just about anywhere you want to go. When you must drive, your car is just a few feet away....and there is no parking charge. The owners are available to help in case you're not familiar with Santa Fe, and morning breakfast gives you the chance to meet fellow travelers.

Thanks so much for staying with us and leaving this review, Randy! I know how nerve-wracking it can be doing last minute planning, so it's our pleasure to keep things calm and relaxed for you. Having only 19 rooms creates an intimate, quiet and relaxing atmosphere which can at times require us to move a guest from one room to another due to our popularity! After 28 years of consecutive innkeeping we have a large satisfied guest return percentage which speaks volumnes of our property, services and customer satisfaction.

Sounds like you were able to explore quite a bit of the city—of course, it helps when we are located in the heart and soul of downtown Santa Fe!

As you noted, parking (not to mention wi-fi) is absolutely free, as is our complimentary breakfast and afternoon tea time. After all, the best way to attack the day is by starting it off with a hearty breakfast! And if you ever have any questions about the city, we're happy to help.

We really do appreciate you taking the time to leave a review. It's helpful both to us as owners and prospective guests considering a stay with us. Please let us know the next time you're in town. We'd love to host you again!

Sincerely,
Amy Behm

This place explains why my wife and I like to stay in B&B's. The room was unique, with a small kitchen area. Very clean and spacious. We enjoyed chatting with several other couples in the breakfast area and Amy and Herb were very helpful with directions and suggestions for things to see and do and places to eat. Easy walk to downtown.

Thank you so much for the kind review! Yes, Pueblo Bonito Inn is a wonderful break from the standard hotel, very reflective of the local culture and flavor! We strive hard to make your stay the most enjoyable possible in a more homestyle fashion! Being so close to downtown, it's easy to check off everything on your "to do list". And of course, when you're out of ideas, we've got plenty more recommendations for you! With a hearty and plentiful breakfast to get you started on your exploring, you'll be in good shape for seeing all Santa Fe has to offer.

We really do appreciate you taking the time to leave a review. Happy to host you anytime you're in the area. Thanks again!

Sincerely,
Amy

What a wonderful way to celebrate our anniversary at this beautiful B&B so close to the Santa Fe Plaza and many historical sights. We were extremely pleased with the accommodations there which were very comfortable and inviting along with the owners and their staff which couldn't have been more helpful and warm. We enjoyed every moment there from the morning coffee (delicious), the many delicious breakfast choices and the lovely scenery and walkways within the property. We'll always remember our brief stay at this most welcoming inn, thanks to the most gracious owners, Amy and Herb. We'll be definitely planning our next stay with them in the very near future.

Room Tip: We had a wonderful room that was said to be one of many traveler's favorites. It was called &qu...

Jacque and Bill,

Thank you very much for such an excellent review. We're so honored you chose us to help celebrate your anniversary! It's our pleasure to accommodate you in any way we can, whether it's here around the Inn or suggesting places to see around town. After all, we've been here for nearly 30 years, so we know a thing or two about Santa Fe!

What's more, as you mentioned, we're within walking distance of so many wonderful sights and attractions. It sure makes exploring a lot easier and fun when it takes so little effort to arrive at your destination! Hope you got to check everything off your list.

We really do appreciate the recommendation. Not only does it make us smile as owners, it also helps guests considering a stay with us. We look forward to celebrating future anniversaries with you- or just enjoying a Santa Fe get-a-way!

Sincerely,
Amy

We stayed 3 nites and enjoyed the warmth of our kiva fireplace and hospitality of the owners and staff. Insider advice about Santa Fe was very helpful. Breakfast very good and could be excellent if their kitchen had a stove !

Room Tip: Try a room with vega ceiling and fireplace ... ask about closet space, writing desk and chairs !

This B&B was wonderfully located to explore Santa Fe, either by foot or by car. We had a lovely breakfast buffet each morning, and the manager was helpful in orienting us to the town on our first morning.
We stayed on the first level, and our room was very comfortable.
Rates were very reasonable, and I would love to return to Pueblo Bonito and to Santa Fe.

We've had the pleasure of staying at Pueblo Bonito four times over the past few years. We recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and authentic Santa Fe experience in a great location. It's an easy walk to the plaza, canyon road, and the railyard district. Regardless of the size room you chose - we've enjoyed both small and cozy rooms, and large and roomy suites - all are comfortable and well appointed with Santa Fe style. This month we stayed 4 nights in San Ildefonso, a large suite with kitchen and wonderful private patio. The hosts are very friendly and helpful with suggestions and tips to make your visit a great one.

Olydick and Linda, we've had the pleasure of hosting you over these past few years. Thank you so much for the review, your encouragement and continued recommendations! As you said, we're just a quick walk away from so many of Santa Fe's finest—from the Plaza to Canyon Road to all sorts of museums and historical attractions. And we aim to maximize your comfort, both in your room and with our hearty breakfast offerings, afternoon tea time and authentic historic Santa Fe accomodations.

We appreciate your compliments about us, too. We're here to make your visit the best it can be which is one reason you continue to return. Happy to help with suggestions or recommendations, as well. And it truly means a lot that you've continued to return and review us and are 100% satisfied. See you again the next time you're in town!

My husband and I were in town for the very first time to spend Opera Week with friends. Their B&B was full, so we found this location nearby. After having to put away the incorrect GPS directions, we discovered this gem well within walking distance of downtown. We stayed in the Tewa room, an apartment in its own right with large sitting room and a decent sized kitchen. It was charming and quite clean. We enjoyed our stay immensely. That said, the one in-window air conditioner is in the sitting room at the opposite end of the suite from the bedroom - don't expect to be chilly in bed unless you open the bedroom window, which has no screen (not too many bugs in the desert, but it also opens to the exterior of the "gated" complex). On a few days, we would have turned off the AC, but the windows around it are stuck shut, so there was little chance of cross-ventilation other than with the small crank-out kitchen windows. There is a step down between the front room and the kitchen which could use some decoration or extra lighting for safety. And if you are tall, be prepared to duck to take a shower - the shower head was not as high as my 5'10" head. Our visit ended during Indian Market. That weekend proved the parking lot needs 2 more spaces, but we never got trapped, and another guest was quite helpful directing us out of a tight corner. There are sitting areas tucked into the property that we should have taken advantage of. Breakfast was plentiful and cheerfully offered the days we attended. I wish we had been able to tour other rooms (didn't ask to) because I wonder if one of the others would fit us more. Oh, and it's a little tight on closet space in the bedroom - I used the closet in the sitting room (maybe I just pack too much). Less expensive than the hotels.

We're so glad you spent your first visit to Santa Fe with us! Thanks for taking the time to leave a review. I'm happy you enjoyed your stay overall—it certainly helps being just a short walk away from downtown. So much to see and do in the city, it can be hard to fit it all in in one trip!

I did want to clarify that Pueblo Bonito Inn is an historic adobe pueblo-style downtown bed and breakfast. We intentionally preserve the property to properly reflect the authenticity of Old Santa Fe's rich and distinguished architecture, heritage and culture. We didn't want an air conditioner intruding too much with that! However, we do appreciate the feedback, and we'll do what we can to maximize both your safety and comfort during your stay.

As for the parking situation, just about every parking lot in Santa Fe is packed to the brim at Indian Market. After all, it's the most popular event of the year in Santa Fe. Coupled with the Opera, it's difficult to find parking at all! At max capacity, our lot dos get full, yet all guests are able to park. Other places charge up to $35 a night, so we always appreciate considerate guests playing nicely in the parking lot.

Thanks again for taking the time to leave a review. We'd love to host you again on your next visit. I know we can find a room that's just perfect for you!

Sincerely,
Amy Behm
