The resort and its decor gave the feeling of being pampered. The room was both lovely and extremely comfortable. The bathroom was an outstanding for a handicapped facility. The staff was efficient and will to give assistance. The lobby was conveniently located to the restaurants and meeting rooms. We left feeling relaxed, like we had been on a vacation.

On the night that we arrived we were hungry seeing the long line for the buffet which was $15 and had reduced selections we decided to opt for the snack bar instead. I had a sandwich ($9) that advertised specific ingredients that they were out of. The menu also indicated that sandwiches came with chips! Assuming that chips meant potato chips we were served corn chips instead and were told that they were out of potato chips. Yet my family and I saw a container with potato chips stashed neatly behind the counter but decided not to make a scene about it. The attendant also said that all they sold was super-sized drinks, no smalls or mediums. The room was nice, beds were plush as advertised; rain shower refreshing and had a nice balcony although our patio furniture still had snow and no attempt had been made to clear snow off the cushions (had snowed about 3 or 4 days earlier). Room service staff as well as front desk staff were friendly and efficient to requests. The breakfast buffet was $10 and also had very few selections, not much variety and oh you better have the exact change when paying cash because the staff there does not give out change. Oh and the casino machines do not pay out much, we had better luck at another casino down the road.

Buffalo Thunder rooms are gorgeous with beautiful views of the mountains on one side and beautiful views of the golf course on the other. Watch the moon over the foothills. Enjoy a Mojito at their relaxing, beautiful pool with 100% sunshine!! The poolside bar is fabulous. Attendants are polite and go out of their way to assist you. Casino life is fun! The restaurants are excellent! Enjoy the savory Buffalo tenderloin with Bernaise...Mmmmm...succulent! The beautiful Native artifacts are everywhere throughout the Resort! Concierge very helpful and knowledgeable. This was truly a great place to stay and visit. Can't say enough about Buffalo Thunder Resort and Casino!!!

The Buffalo Thunder Resort and Casino is a great place to stay, just outside of Santa Fe. We live in Santa Fe and have stayed at the Buffalo Thunder Resort a few times just as a short "escape." The entire staff is always very friendly and helpful. This past trip (Feb. 2010) we had a great prime rib dinner in the Turquoise Trail restaurant. The rooms are beautiful and very relaxing.

We would definitely recommend this place to Santa Fe locals and also to those visiting from out of town.
