Stayed during ski trip Mar 6-10 2013
Room prepaid
Is promoted as boutique hotel which there is no traditional front desk -reception and no room service-was able to get a call back from given phone number
Rooms were beautiful and uniquely decorated-the pecos room had one king but had no dresser drawers to put clothes in and a very small closet-shower unique.
Complained about small room and manager promptly moved us to the cheyenne room which had 2 kings ,large closet with 2 bathrooms each with a shower(nice)-hot tub acceptable but not well maintained-complimentary continental breakfast excellent!
If you stay-request cheyenne room or similar-would stay again

This is not a four or five star hotel... but the location is great, walking distance to the center of town, plenty of free parking, and a staff that is willing to go out of their way to make sure you are taken care of... and that includes your canine companion. We stayed four nights and the first night there was only one room left by the time we checked in. Room 5 is comfortable but it is on the ground floor facing the parking lot... feeling more like a motel. The saving grace was a very comfortable bed and quality bedding... and the fireplace was nice too.
Our next three nights were spent upstairs in room 7... a really great room... spacious, light and again, a quality bed. For the price, with the amenities, including breakfast, this is a great choice.

Room Tip: Avoid 5, do whatever you have to to get 7! If not 7, ay least try and get one upstairs.

We have been guests at the Inn at least once a year for the pst seven years.
It is one of our favorite places to stay.
The location is absolutely perfect, close to the square as wellasgreat resturants not to mention the piano bar right next door. The suite is so well done with fireplaces and an outdoor area.
Most importantly, the people who work there are so lovely and welcoming. They always make our stay special.
Also,if you stay there consider eating at Dinner For Two.it is fantastic.

We have stayed in so many places in SFe over the past 5 years and found this to be one of our favorites. For the price, it will be my new place to book while there on business. Affordable, convenient to walk, good parking for a larger truck, pet friendly with comfortable sheets and
friendly staff. the reviews that warned of the noise from the piano bar had me concerned, but our room was adjacent to it, and really well insulated, so didn't bother us at all. I must prefer this to nearby competitors or overpriced VRBO rentals.

We stayed for a week and found the location to be perfect for walking around the downtown. We had a car but found that we never used it. Canyon road (art) was also walkable if you like to trek around town (about 3/4 mile from the Inn). The room was extremely comfortable! Nice staff and the perfect place for to relax for the week or weekend. We travel to Santa Fe almost every year and we've found our new favorite place. The only downside is that the hot tub wasn't working which would have been great in the cold evenings.

My boyfriend and I stayed here on Valentine's Day 2013. We had a wonderful, romantic, and relaxing stay. The fireplace in the room was a wonderful treat and was all set up for easy smoke-free fires. The bed and bedding was so luxurious and comfortable. The hot tub was also a fun treat - we had a key so could go at any time and decided to go early the next morning before breakfast. The innkeepers on duty were very friendly and helped with our every request. We will definitely stay here again when back in Santa Fe. And the location right off the downtown Santa Fe plaza was so convenient to walk to any of the downtown shopping, museum and cafes.

My new employer arranged for us to stay here for my last interview for a job in Santa Fe. The location is great - just a short walk to the plaza. The room itself is nicely decorated and has a wood burning kiva fireplace which was a really nice feature. The room was cleaned adequately everday, however, it could use a deep cleaning. The room was a bit snug for two people and luggage, but we did not spend a lot of time in the room. We did not arrive until after 11:00 p.m., but there was a key and instructions waiting for us so check-in was a breeze. The bed was very comfortable, but despite having 4 pillows I could not find one that I liked (maybe I'm just too picky about pillows). The coffee maker made absolutely horrid coffee even though decent coffee was provided. The included breakfast was decent for continental - included fresh fruit and yogurt as well as a selection of breads, etc. The bottom line - I would likely look around for another place to stay, but would not rule out returning to the Inn at Vanessie either.
